I don’t get why THAT film became the IT film of 2022. Even my friends I seen it with loved it, and I was just like meh. I was excited for it, even made a thread for it on here lol but ultimately didn’t extremely love it like I thought I would
Rewatched it the other day, enjoyed the quirky action in the first 2 acts and fell asleep during the preachy “let’s all be kind to each other” 3rd act. And it’s crazy cus alotta ppl said they emotionally broke down during the 3rd act and I still can’t seem to see how
It’s the ultimate cinema experience in that I got to share so many emotions w the theater where everyone felt in tune w/ the picture’s ebb and flow, but I also have very little desire to watch again.

Would u place it in your top 10 of 2022?

It’s technically my #1 rn but I feel like Banshees and Tár are better, or at least they appeal to my sensibilities more. Also weirdly loved Ambulance?? My sense of the 2022 field is just about irrelevant, unfortunately, given the many many movies I haven’t been able to see yet
I hope some people see Argentina, 1985. It's a well-made drama based on the Trial of the Juntas. It's solid!

Real good film. Top 10 2022 potential.

https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/1600299072472158209EEAAO was a kiddy glove indie film. Not surprised they’re acting like this.
personally i found eeaao to be the most over hyped movie of the year. i enjoyed myself and don't have any issue with the movie really, but feel like the hype/momentum almost hurt the movie in the long run
i loved RRR to death tho and def feel like that was the better movie in every way
Of the decade. I’ll say it now.
I’d take Banshees over EEAAO. I’d maybe take Tar too. Those three and Decision to Leave are my Rushmore of 2022, all fantastic movies but EEAAO definitely isn’t leaps and bounds better than everything else this year.
Top Gun or Elvis> EEAAO
