It's definitely my favourite game of all time, I can't recommend it enough. The story, voice acting, soundtrack and the climate of the game - definition of perfection

You don't need to, Silent Hill 2 has a story of its own.

You also don't need an emulator, just download a torrent, I play it on a laptop as well

My mom got me Playstation 1 when I was 5 and Silent Hill was one of the games included. It was too scary, had to play it during daytime and I remember always getting killed by an Air Screamer.

Finished the game years later, and what an experience it was.

Ehh I don't like replaying levels and the main guy was so forgettable. The apartment mechanic was original tho and good music.

The idea of being trapped in your room that supposed to be a 'safe zone' for you, only for it to become haunted, and the only way to get out is through a hole in the bathroom that takes you to different f***ed up places scared the s*** out of me.

Your doors are chained, you scream and try to get out but nobody hears you. I'm claustrophobic so I think they totally nailed it with the idea - it was genius.

I agree with other fans that it's not as polished as other Silent Hill games, mainly due to lack of Masahiro Ito, and that the main character didn't have as much personality compared to the others, but he was supposed to be the representation of the player itself.

Not a fan of the combat/inventory system, but great game nonetheless.

I would want it only if they hired the same voice actors and it was done right. SH2 is a perfection, wouldn't want it to get ruined.

    SH4 criminally underrated

Which SH influenced PT the most??

  • Jun 3, 2020

If rhey make a SH Remake I want Sony and Kojima Productions to develop it

I disagree. PT was cool but it had nothing to do with Silent Hill. It wasn't scary, it was cheap - ghosts, baby crying, error messages. This is not what Silent Hill is about.

I wouldn't mind Kojima coming out with his own horror game, but I hope he'll stay far away from Silent Hill.

In order for Silent Hill reboot to be good, it needs to be done by the original Team Silent members, and the rumours indicate that they are working on it which makes me hopeful that it will turn out great if the info is legit.

I feel like Kojima would further ruin the series. Del Toro? Norman Reedus? I don't want to associate Silent Hill with Walking Dead. I'm also not a fan of 3rd person camera view.

If I was a casual Silent Hill gamer I'm sure I would be open to idea of Kojima, but because I love the series too much, I would be greatly dissapointed if he was involved. For me it's either Team Silent or keep the series dead

Well said. Kojima would try to put some crazy mind f***s here and there. He’s creative sure, but I don’t want him involved in the gaming process. A creative consultant? Sure.

Silent hill worked with the music, the characters not being this strong force and having monsters related to the character’s internal anguish.

What I liked about PT, was that PT was just a little teaser of what could be done with Silent Hill but never intended to be a true sequel or reboot.

    Heavily disagree

He could always get the OG Team Silent members (ones available/willing) to join Kojima Productions and co write with the OG 4 games writers

Del Toro co- directing and Junji Ito level/character design with Akira Yamaoka returning to compose? Its a wrap

Feel you tho i just disagree
