also SkaterXL and Session are okay for what they are for but imho they arent fun to play at all just like how actually good sims are tho lol

yeah i skate a lot but just riding and ollying any curbs, gaps or w.e but i left the full days behind so long ago

im 6'4" and still fit enough to do it but if i get any injuries i cant go to work lmao

also in canada we lack indoor parks and skaters up here say the winter season adds a layer of rust every year :(

All of the parkour and jumping off buildings and s***. I understand skate was a huge phenomenon and they need to appeal to the casual consumer but I wish they’d dial into the realism. I want hardcore mode on crack

it'd almost be like if Skate 3 had a mode where u can fall/jump or bail on purpose to see how many points u can earn by hurting urself

but for serious i never played that mode at all and idc i just want to clamber and move off-board without it feeling super janky

i think it was just announced super early when they very little done. development started in 2020 but was likely either completely halted or moved very slowly cause of covid and trying to figure out the wfh system. so lets say they lost about a year of progress they'd normally make, it's really only had a ~3 year dev time which isn't terribly long imo. a ton of the games that came out last year were also a product of covid delays. plus being a f2p live service means it's a totally different product with different goals than the previous games. i'd expect at least a release date this year if not a full release, but if we don't get one of those then it's time to worry
