    Not after Blueprint 2

Jay has had his moments of chasing it but what is Drake’s American Gangster or Black Album

What is his MBDTF or Yeezus

Doing s*** for the sake of cultural impact with the potential risk of not being the hottest s*** out/without being an overt trendy w**** for Billboard placements

    Take Care and IYRTITL?

    "cultural impact" "impact the culture"

What does KTT consider "culture" in 2026?

Culture doesnt exist anymore. Just a bunch of white nerds critiquing the genre and fans following suit. Its over

It dont exist anymore because in the 15 years since the era of the Blueprints, American Gangsters, MBDTF, Yeezus type albums the nigga running the game has replaced the conceptual cohesive album with hail mary attempts to dominate the charts

S*** became solely about trend hopping and “who got da slaps” lol

Biggest confirming example is the change in how Ye constructed albums that were their own worlds and sounds Yeezus and before to the playlist compilation of hits style starting with Pablo -> Donda -> BULLY to compete with Drake/in the shadow of what Ye thinks works for Drake lol

Him phoning in songs about wealth and clubbing to keep chart position is the opposite of keeping rap a sport. Its literally done the opposite by replacing the competitiveness of lyricism with “who got da slaps” lmao huh

He literally went the lyricism route with HP6 and Kendrick p**** ass just didn’t respond lmao. He went the lyricism route with Duppy and Pusha told on him. He went the lyricism route with Charged Up and Meek didn’t say anything till he put out Back to Back.

His whole career is littered with “lyricism” and every time he’s tried to get a rapper to RAP, they either don’t or go the gossip route. I can already tell by the way you worded your first reply you’re not gonna step back and look at s*** differently but I wanted to let you know you’re blatantly wrong

Drake having to sit with the fact nobody cared about THP6 did more damage than any reply could, s*** was horrendous and embarrassing and pivoting to the pop out concert and continuing his victory lap was a beautiful reply to one of the worst diss tracks in mainstream battle history

  • Have heard so much cope from Jay stans last 24 hours

"Didn't see a single white person in the show!" "that was the blackest show ive ever been to!" "Jay is for the culture!!"

Jay had more white fans than Kanye once upon a time. Hes just so washed nobody cares anymore, except his fans. Same with Ye/Drake/Future etc... Rap is dead. Nobody cares anymore irl lol just play the song and let the beat play lil homie

See I think that’s why I love BULLY because it’s an attempt at getting back to that world building imo. Nothing really sounds like it imo.

But yes I completely agree with the overall point and I used to get s*** on this site for saying it. Glad people are coming around now. This must be how niggss must have felt about the late 90s - mid 2000s albums tho lol

Im talking about his overall career, its odd to reframe the convo to those three specific moments out of thousands of songs, i liked Duppy and Charged, HP6 was pitiful even if lyrically strong but again thats whole nother convo, i wasnt really talking about his 3-5 lyrical disses where he kinda has no choice but to bar up

I respect Drake’s pen on the Am Pm and the Fear type songs but most of his career the longer it has went on has been baiting for “slaps”
