we gave renaissance mainstream aoty and fast trax 3 underground aoty.

list aside, iceman is at its best good sounding safe traditional music and its just a decent drake album with massive flaws without appealing to what makes u feel good fitting in I don’t think painting Drake as this guy that’s keeping the genre alive and competitive and like ahead of the rest is accurate.

It’s just a late career project from a big artist with some catchy hooks and nice beats. And that’s fine. It don’t gotta be more than that for someone to like it.

In the context of his career it’s him doing something with his artistry and trying to make the most authentic vision he can that ties back to what he LOVES about music. It’s authentic, expressive, colourful, creative, and different. It excels at something and goes all in on it ans I don’t have to appeal to metrics every time I wanna talk about how I like it.
