make sure days when you’re using it you’re not using other exfoliants and retinol
I bought a water gel and a daily cleanser, what else should I add (already have moisturizer)
Rice extract 30% + Grain fermented extracts
Rice and grain fermented extracts are rich in vitamins B, C, E, amino acids, and minerals which help to moisturize dry skin and comfortably calm the skin.
I switched up my sunscreen after six years and I'm really enjoying this one. It's super hydrating and easy to wear. Not as lightweight as the Skin Aqua however it's much more moisturizing - you can really get away with using this as a primary moisturizer in the summer.
The milky sunscreen fluid features the highest UV protection in the Skin Aqua lineup, and it turns into a transparent, water-like texture when applied to the skin. A blend of 2 types of hyaluronic acid, collagen, and amino acid keeps the skin hydrated. The moisturising yet water-light milk gives durable sun protection that is ideally suited for beach and water sports as well as everyday wear. Skin feels moisturised, smooth, and comfortable with no sticky or white residue.
Just ordered the 2 pack of the Beauty of Joseon! Ready to be better protected from the sun. Thank you @op!
Not sure if this falls in this skincare thread per say, but I've been noticing my cuticles cracking a lot and the skin near it always getting hang nails.
Recently got Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream and it has been a life saver! Highly recommend it for anyone having issues around their cuticles

this works great just use it sparingly and not with other exfoliants at the same time. a lot of people over exfoliate and it makes their problems worse

if i use tretinoin nightly, you think using this 1x a week (at night and no tretinoin) is ok?

i’ve been advised by a dermatologist to not use any vitamin A derivatives (retinol, retin-A, tretinoin, etc) in the same routine as acids like aha, bha, salicylic, glycocic. nights when i use one i don’t use retinol

yeah over exfoliating is a real thing. i use p50 toner twice a week and skip retinol on those days and just use regular moisturizer. i cut down on the amount i use niacinamide and zinc from once to twice per day as well because my skin was overcompensating from it
@Campari do you shave every day?
Also, do you have any tips on how to incorporate shaving into the skincare routine?

No, that’d be terrible & irritating for my skin. I only shave whenever i’m going out with friends.
I recommend getting an Edwin Jagger razor & a pack of blades, switch it out each shave and wash the razor. When shaving, go with the grain and use cold water. This method has prevented ingrown hairs and bumps for me dramatically.
I then follow up with this product:
This lightweight, roll-on cocktail is the sure bet to soothe shaving irritation and prevent bumps from ingrown hairs. Hygienic, easy-to use, mess-free package makes treating ingrown hair concerns a breeze. The ultimate jackpot.

yeah you put me on to the safety razor + cold water combo.
I used to get some pretty bad acne from shaving but it's almost all healed.
I think I've found a nice balance shaving twice a week, usually 24hrs after I exfoliate at night, seems to be working nice.
Thanks for the tips, gonna look into the product as well

I personally found that focusing on heavy hydration the night I shave really helps my skin recover from any possible irritation. I like to exfoliate a day later once it’s begun to recover.
