start with a low percentage like that Paulas Choice 2% BHA Exfoliant someone listed 1x-2x a week
your nighttime routine should look like
cleanse
tone
bha exfoliator here
serum if you're feeling fancy
moisturize
another alt would be to find a serum with BHA's in it

really appreciate it man. I usually just cleanse and moisturize but gonna start doing this once I got the right products

Gonna get the ETUDE HOUSE one ghosting mentioned last page.
What do you recommend as far as morning routine? I just shower / wash my face with shampoo but i cant see that being good lol
Also does using day cream instead of night cream make a difference? Or should I also get one for nights

it just depends on your skin and any issues or things you want to fix with it tbh. I struggled with hyperpigmentation before so right now mine is
cleanse
tone
topicals faded serum
sunscreen
I don't struggle with it much anymore cause I use tretinoin every night and use a very strong exfoliant 1x a week now, but I do get spots here and then that leave dark marks so I just continue to keep this routine to keep my skin clear. before this I kept it simple and just used cerave's hyaulronic acid serum in place of the faded serum
I hope you mean you use an actual cleanser and that you don't wash your face with shampoo tho lol

ehhh depends on the product but not really. some night creams have retinoids in them which are extremely unstable to use during the day when they interact with the sun / UV rays so I wouldn't but i've used my night moisturizer during the day and vice versa sometimes

It's worth adding that Salicylic Acid(which is essentially the most popular form of BHA out there) is very effective among all users and that it'll probably save your skin
I still remember the first time I used TO's 2% Salicylic Acid Masque, my skin was shining like an IG filter

+1
@thankmelater an alt option is using cerave salicylic acid cleanser, leave it on for 2-3 mins, wash it off, tone and moisturize or SPF if during the day. I do that every other day or so
