It's worth adding that Salicylic Acid(which is essentially the most popular form of BHA out there) is very effective among all users and that it'll probably save your skin
I still remember the first time I used TO's 2% Salicylic Acid Masque, my skin was shining like an IG filter

@atthepyramids thank u both so much bruddas
gonna look into all of this and order some products. yall changing my life

I'd recommend to just exfoliate at night
Sometimes I use AHAs/BHAs in the morning and they barely have an effect at all

not everyday, no. start with once or twice a week. anymore and you will most likely f*** up your moisture barrier. iā€™ve built up my barrier over the years to withstand a lot and even then I still only exfoliate 1x a week using The Ordinaryā€™s 10% AHA/BHA peel

that paulaā€™s choice one is a mild exfoliate so you could probably get away with more than 1x a week but start slow

Salicylic acid in the night plus sunscreen in the morning always are essentials for that
Iā€™d recommend The Ordinaryā€™s 2% Salicylic Acid Masque applied around two times a week for a few minutes, you can build up to around 10 minutes over time but be careful, it is a pretty strong product. Stronger to painful itches may actually be potential nerve damage so watch out for that
For sunscreen get as much protection as possible(SPF 50+ necessarily), the sun is the most harming thing to our skin and it can actually impact the effect of other products you are using. Look into asian sunscreen
Always patch test first(apply on upper forearm for a few minutes then clean out and see if you do well with the product

Any tips for shaving? Everytime I shave I get quite a few annoying acne bumps, and I donā€™t like the fact that I have to use an alcohol based product twice a week and also blading my skin

Is there a trimmer that can leave my beard looking like I havenā€™t shaved in 3 or 4 days? Thank you

I exfoliate and wash my face before shaving and wash again and moisturize after.

Also make sure to go with the grain when you're shaving.

I've been doing this for a while now and have no bumps

I cleanse before shaving and then go in with Hyaluronic Acid and moisturizer. Wouldnā€™t be surprised if the HA is irritating my skin and leading to these bumps but at the same time I often get acne bumps right after shaving, like I focus on another section and I already have a spot

You got any recommendations for shaving creams/razors?

About shaving cream I use a really basic one idk the name, but I've found that using a really basic two blade razor works much better for my skin for razor bumps compared to those multi blade hi tech ones.

    One of these

Tho I've been thinking on buying a safety razor like this

Follow these tips, it will change your entire experience:

    • Buy Edwin Jagger razor & a whole pack of blades from Amazon, clean the head everytime prior to shaving

    • Get Paulaā€™s Choice shaving cream, contains no alcohol and features soothing ingredients

    • Do not shave with hot water!

    • Always shaving with the grain, by going against you can cause ingrown hair and bumps
