thanks for the reply!
it's more so about any good blogs/sites that have what products are popular. I know my skin type but have no idea where to start with products.
I've started double cleansing with cerave and use a daily moisturiser with spf but am curious about the other possible skincare routine steps, the products and the purpose of doing it.
Yeah it’s definitely overwhelming but as far as blogs or sites there’s not really anything i’ve come across that I come back to.
There is COSDNA which breaks down every last ingredients and how detrimental it can be, if you come across a product you like definitively check it out.
I would recommend checking out Sean Garrette on IG & Gothamista on YT, everyone else is just noise.
You have the basic steps down but I’d recommend separating moisturizer & SPF because you shouldn’t be using the latter at night. Get an asian one, if you go through the pages here i’ve listed tons of products which are vetted.
The major step you seem to be missing is chemical exfoliation (BHA & AHA).

i didnt account for stress and anxiety impacting my skin. no amount of skincare can fix that
only thing ive seen real results from is switching my pillow cases more often. been on this skincare ting since the pandemic.
pimples and scars from previous pimples
now i get 1 every 2 weeks. used to be everyday at my worst

fwiw you can increase your stress/anxiety threshold by deliberately putting your body in a state of alertness/stress through breathwork like tummo/wim hof
not gonna be some type of huge change or wild cure-all but could help a bit. one piece of the puzzle type thing
EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46
This is my favourite sunscreen at the moment, first time not using anything from Japan or Korea & I’m very happy. Features a smooth pump for quick and easy extraction.
Lightweight, not greasy yet still feeling hydrating and most of all it’s incredibly effective. For anyone dealing with hyperpigmentation or scarring, this is a fantastic choice. I will advise it’s on the pricier side.
Oil-free EltaMD UV Clear helps calm and protect sensitive skin types prone to discoloration and breakouts associated to acne and rosacea. It contains niacinamide (vitamin B3), hyaluronic acid and lactic acid, ingredients that promote the appearance of healthy-looking skin. Very lightweight and silky,
is it more matte or shiny?
is it more matte or shiny?
Neither, it’s just hydrating, it melts into the skin but certainly not matte by any means. If you’re looking for a matte finish, check out ROHTO Skin Moisture Milk.

7 months ago, I came to you for advice on sunscreen. Y'all told me "asian sunscreen". Recently, I researched asian sunscreen. I found a lot of worrying about "oxybenzone" in most of these sunscreens and the fact they may not be adequate for the EUROPEAN sun. I think I read I need a ZINC sunscreen if you don't want the chemical stuff? Fellow members, any particular sunscreens you would recommend? The EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46
looks nice, but also costs FORTY dollars.

Got Australian Gold here in EU I'll check it out. La roche posay moisturizer f***ed up my skin pretty badly a long time ago because of one of the ingredients in it (dont remember which one but that s*** was NOT good for anyone's skin) so I choose to boycott them.
