There has yet to be a better 80s synth pop inspired record than Everything is Embarrassing. They all sound super inspired & on the nose, what Sky & Dev did with the subtleness, details & simplicity is something that has yet to be replicated in that genre.

Being “difficult” or “high strung” doesn’t give people the right to damage & stall my career. I am in a DIFFICULT situation & I have to be “difficult” to get through it. I have to protect my work & myself somehow? A lot of it is not being allowed to say or do anything I want/need without it being dismissed. The thing I actively tried to avoid happens & it somehow gets reversed. I can’t think of a time in the last 7 years where I’ve been able to just focus on what I’m supposed to do & my work being presented the way I want it to or my shows being the way one needs it to be to be perform & play well. Despite having to basically sacrifice every aspect of my life to make sure it happens & the amount of time/work I put into everything beforehand. It’s not okay. If I’m not allowed to say something without consequence & the people who are supposed to do their job refuse to look out for me… How am I not going to be “difficult”?!?

I'm all about defending artists especially when it's against those crooked labels but she's oozing spoiled brat vibes. Is she really trying to tell us that her label has been blocking her stuff for more than 4 years knowing that labels are viewing their artists as cash cows basically trying to milk them as fast and as hard as they can ? There's not a single brain cell in me that allows me to believe this and this whole "I'm difficult" or whatever seems sketchy af

In this grand scheme of things the label probably holds a part of the blame but not acknowledging that she more likely than not still played a big part in this extended hiatus is bullshit imo. We're not sniffing any new album this year too I guess if that's the way she decided to kick out the year
