and yeah the more uptempo fast ones (which is the most/majority of the ep i guess) hit so hard too
id say about the same but thats cause I really loved COA (aside from plea).
assuming that you really like glaive, the EP is the defining project for the sound he's been trying to formulate the past year: beautiful, transparent songwriting; poppy, ear-grabbing hooks; and vocals that is due to make anybody's heart wrench and disintegrate.
hi hey hyd, dnd, and 2009 are probably the best on the project--and happen to be the unheard ones. they're more stripped back and don't reach a song like pissed in terms of aggressiveness (dnd is the only song that comes close), rather opting for more guitar-centered production and putting more emphasis on glaive's vocals. he's come a long way, and these 3 songs in particular show how great he is at constructing a song from start to finish--and how there is literally no signed/mainstream artist that can do it like him. he's what the industry thought Dominic Fike would turn into based off hearing a few demos on soundcloud....and he's only 15.
-*i just realized i wrote an entire article starter for no reason!!! sorry thorn, but yeah, since u clearly didn't like COA, I'd imagine this would be better for u, it's great man n is another showcase for how the sky is the limit for glaive.
thanks for the free article
i feel like u can't really dislike glaive stuff, he's really consistent
and no lmao I didn't dislike COA, I've to admit my post sounded kinda negative tho
just that it was pretty one dimensional
wonder what type of deal rocky got carti on....
glaive's manager is goated for getting him a short licensing deal
glaives manager sucks actually, signs s***ty deals

damn, didn't know about his track record. from the NYT thing he sounded really confident about glaive so I thought he seemed cool. a 2 ep licensing deal can't be that bad right?

nah, Glaive's deal is fine, heard it was somewhere around 300k. he just does snakey business according to my friend whos at a label–has gotten artists into s***ty deals then dropped them
Best 8485 songs?
her newest song is up there, leech, yeah yeah yeah cover, 4real, and skinz i'd say
for one of their projects we should try to get an ama on here
maybe one for glaive's next EP whenever that comes out
the fact that all his song covers are literally just pics of his backyard/places in his town is so wholesome
YESSSS. him doing so always just gave the music more of an genuine feel than what it already is.

honestly that's the main draw to this entire scene--there's no huge difference between them from a regular teenager like me, they just happen to make music and blew up.
