Earl will drop another album prolly...

Slauson album will be crazy (two songs he played live are lowkey 2021 SOTYs for me already)

SOTC will be crazy, awesome singles

Mavi hopefully got another classic waiting for us, even though the last few months kind of damped my expectations

    Navy x MIKE hopefully dropping

    Pink Siifu always

    Maxo, fully agree.

    Ovrkast album

KeiyaA got my attention, a full collab tape with MIKE would be goat

Zelooperz been on a roll and lowkey only getting better, will likely continue to collab with these guys too

AKAI hopefully dropping an album as concise as his EP this year

Psychedelic Ensemble has quietly dropped some rly fire NTS Mixes which show he's rly deeply tuned in and I thought his tape with Jadasea and John Glacier (Jada John) was very very fire

Good call on ZelooperZ, great artist.

Not familiar with Psychedelic Ensemble. I’ll have to look up that Jada John joint

Also hoping on Jay Versace and L'Rain full-lengths

Didn’t know L’Rain was down with these guys? I dig her self-titled

@justynbass to me FlySiifu's was the most satisfying Siifu rap album yet tbh. Not sure he'll ever make the same type of thing he did with Ensley but I'm here for whatever

I agree that FlySiifu’s is very satisfying, even if I’m not big on Anakin

Damn just relistened to Weight of the World for the first time in a bit and was real indifferent toward it

The constant rhyming every line flow can get exhausting

Still a good project, but def not as good as I thought it was

Well put, sir. I hate to say it, but I feel the same

still a bit of a reach so far but she's friends with Slauson so I think we might see some collabs with people of the crew on her next project...

Also real for knowing her s/t, tape is flames

Yeah, his delivery really just doesn’t come off as evocative as his lyrics and the monotone flow on top of that is just hard to stay interested in

even though I don't mind his delivery at all, do you also think BLP2020 is better in that regard? One of my rym friends was saying that. To me it's not that huge of a difference but I dunno.

It's wild how I initially didn't quite care for BLP but it's been growing on me like crazy, honestly not even sure what to put on my EOY list first... Used to be Old Earth, but today I bumped it to WOW>OE>BLP, but was tempted to go straight to WOW>BLP>OE. On the other hand still think OE is the most cohesive and concise of the three and features some of Mike's best production and Jada's best bars.

another powerful revisit rn about time Archy links up with the scene tbh, apart from the obviously overdue Archy x Earl, him linking up with MIKE would be a dream too

I think the production on BLP keeps me listening more actively. And I think I like the project more, maybe because it’s a smaller batch of tracks? Even on my first listen of WOTW, I appreciated how it kind of captures and zones out the listener with the loops + MIKE’s monotone flows, but on revisiting, I’m just not so intrigued or committed as when I’m really listening closely.

I think for me it comes down to the mood I’m in. If I’m just zoning out (maybe painting) the album might be more valuable to me, but if I’m tryna actually listen closely I become sorta disengaged and comatose lol

I mean I can imagine how it can be appreciated like that, especially in the slums canon

I really was not rocking with it today tho

It's semi-updated too, tho less updated the lower you go down the list I might try to give it a more complete update for the new year, I've been meaning to add more descriptions for artists in forever too

glad you enjoyed it criminally overlooked so far sadly. I love it! John Glacier also did this track with Vegyn and Dean Blunt this year (and featured on the newest Jada EP from this week)
