F*** man… a microdose of shrooms was the wrong call for this one 😭 this s*** had me stressed as f*** in the theater.
Bro experienced DEMON DEMON DEMON in the cinema
Everything after the point where she gets suffocated by all of the smiling people in her apartment was a hallucination. The demon was just driving her insane before killing her in front of as many people possible to spread the curse.
wait what? she called her friend and left that voicemail well before she was surrounded by all those smiling people. then her friend called back and ended up coming over, this was before all those smiling people. But we found out towards the end of the movie that her friend calling back and coming over was all in her head (when she got the callback in the car)
Naomi Scott put everything into this tho, crazy performance from her. Even though it’s supernatural this functions as one of the better portrayals of mental illness I’ve ever seen
Watched this a couple days ago, surprisingly better than the first film.

yeah, fair points. I guess we can say that everything after the smiling people in apartment scene is definitely a hallucination, but Skye is already an unreliable narrator before that so it’s tough to say what even happened in the movie lol.
There is the scene where Skye’s mom comes to her apartment after Gemma stays over. Gemma says hi to Skye’s mom, but we don’t get to see any response from Skye’s mom, even though she was telling Skye to reconnect with Gemma earlier in the movie. This to me implies that the scene is real but Gemma isn’t actually there.
finally caught the first one tonight
this movie is just It Follows with a less ambiguous delivery of the metaphor
still a good watch
This was one decent but I liked the first one way better. I feel a little cheated with the whole 10-15% of the movie was a hallucination schtick
me watching the whole 7 minutes like
honestly thought this was pretty wack lmao
a few moments I was laughing out loud when I definitely wasnt supposed to be
those eerie up and down voices at the start are so good. instant creepiness, is used VERY sparingly to subconsciously tie together really creepy moments for the audience. legit just sounds like disturbing mental illness. such a great little piece of horror movie music
This was quite good. I wouldn't call it scary but more of a thriller with horror elements. The gore didn't do anything for me but what worked was how it portrayed the entity taking over someone's mind.
