It follows is a more original and cooler movie but the scares in this hit way harder IMO

Glad to hear this turned out good. I think there is just something inherently unsettling to see human beings that look normal but slightly “off” so this prob plays with your subconscious a lot

I was dying at the marketing though, “this movie will ruin smiles forever!!!!!” Lmao

This was really good. Bacon was fantastic in this, she's a talent to watch out for. This, the ring and it follows would make for a great triple feature

Watched it, didn’t find it completely scary though it definitely had its moments, the jumps were good.

and not sure how I feel about the ending tbh, but what was there much to really expect. Without giving too much away so minor spoiler —-( It reminded me of room 1408 in some ways)

Reddit had an alternative ending that sounds more interesting but overall a decent watch. Don’t know if I’ll wanna see it again tho

Definitely has sequel potential, I wouldn’t be mad at one, would just need to be even more creepier

I remember a few weeks ago I tried to tell everyone on r/horror that this movie was supposed to be scary as f*** and would go over well with critics and audiences, but nope, everyone always said how it looks really dumb and would be another Truth or Dare. despite test screenings going so well that it was moved to a theatrical release and early reviews on Letterboxd was calling this a new classic. all the focus was on Barbarian and Hellraiser

we live in an insane time for horror and I couldn’t be happier as a lifelong horror fanatic. we all went through a rough time in the 2000’s and it feels like we are getting our divine rewards now lmao

I genuinely laughed when I first was seeing the previews for this going to see other movies. I just think it is super corny at least the marketing was A-1.
