as someone who has family members that struggled with life after prison and suffering from ptsd this song is too relatable

Bruce really is the artist of the people man.

I felt the same way about Kanye for a long time but as hard as it is to admit he's lost the pulse, which to his credit most artists do when they see that kind of success and Kanye held it for a long time.

    But Bruce never lost it.

For sure. Releasing The Rising in the wake of 9/11 that far into his career speaks to how great and important his career was.

he told a story about how a fan saw him in traffic and told him "we need you right now, bruce" the rest is history

this is my favorite bruce album.
someone said in a review once that “if you listen carefully they say you can hear his breath. i think if you listen closely enough you can hear his heartbeat.”

a bone chilling record of profound beauty. in my top 5 OAT along w Blond, What’s Going On, Hejira, and The White Album.

anyone here see bruce live? i’ve seen him with e street twice and solo acoustic twice. going to see him multiple times next year and just snagged a ticket to see him at the 92nd Street Y in Manhattan next month. doing an interview.

my mount rushmore is Bruce, Paul McCartney, Frank Ocean, and Joni Mitchell.
