How she even live through all that?

See it's that kinda over the top gore s*** in horror movies that ain't scary or even all that disturbing honestly. It's just f***in dumb

And when the dude starts pouring bleach and salt over her mutilated body it's like...is this supposed to be played for laughs at this point? And maybe it is given the killer is an insane clown but come on b. I guess I just prefer if the gore in horror films/shows to be based in some realism. This s*** just comes off as if the director was a big fan of Cannibal Corpse and made the murder scenes based off their extremely ridiculous and cringe edgy lyrics.

if I want to see (stuff that ppl watch for escapism) I’ll just watch (real life violence)

    ok

People react to this movie like the moms that got freaked out when GTA4 came out lol

Your above question about how she lived through the murder is sorta funny seeing as how horror movies have a long history of being dedicated to realism (sarcasm). Not looking to argue/press you but it seems you just weren’t the audience for this maybe

Obviously people are going to react to the excessive violence and macabre. The series is meant to get that kinda reaction from the audience. To me though it's one of those things that tries to do so much that it goes over the level of disturbing and hard to watch, and quickly into cheesy territory.

It's how I been feeling about the last few Mortal Kombat games. Those games, much like the deaths in this movie, are made to be visceral and brutal, of course. But there is such a thing as doing too much. And after watching I'm not left feeling sickened. I'm moreso rolling my eyes and saying "Aight can we get a move on already".

Its like 2 girls 1 cup era its shocking for no reason just there to disgust people i hate how everyone hyping this s*** up just because its different. Different dont always = good

I can totally understand the appeal of slasher films and excessive gore movies. But this is just...it tries so hard to be edgy and over the top that it comes off more lame than anything.

I'm fascinated by s*** like gore and the art of violence. It can make for some genuinely cool and memorable moments in slasher films. But this kinda stuff is just the laziest of gore p***. I feel as if they were in the writing room thinking "Okay guys! What's the wildest and wackiest way we can murder somebody?" they brainstorm and come up with something. Cool. But at some point during shooting, they start having a bunch of ideas in the middle of a scene and they start shoving in as much as they can, to the point where now the scene is getting dragged out and those big gory moments come off more cheap and amateurish than exciting. And then I'm left sitting there like damn...so this really goes on for two hours?

What's the point of going multiple rounds if you keep busting in two minutes ya feel me?

You know, reading back over my post, I can see that some of the stuff I said shouldn’t really be directed at you (esp the gta line) and was moreso me just airing out some general grievances concerning the discourse around the film. So I apologize for coming at you that way. I think your reference to liveleaks was sorta a way to critique how depraved this was, not how boring it was.

I can understand your take here. Stuff like Bone Tonahawk also has intense gore but it’s way more limited; I can see how the excessiveness here could get grating.

Personally, the high gore made me feel both actually worried for the characters and also not too invested bc of the ‘campy’ nature—that combination produced genuine entertainment for the slasher I haven’t felt in a minute, but I can understand if you just weren’t taking it too seriously

    No gore like frank

  • Aug 18, 2023

Weirdo itt went from praising liveleak gore to saying this movie is silly. Yea Dawg it’s meant to be. Not supposed to fill whatever void that you’re filling when you watch real life gore s***. F***in freak 😂

Dude has desensitized himself to real life death footage that he is simply unmoved when playing a video game or watching horror. Put him on a list he’s got a real life blood thirst

Trash movie, but that kill is crazy and the punchline at the end is priceless
