I’m a little confused why you keep going back to soul samples when I made the distinction twice that it’s not just soul samples. Of course Jay is why it got hot but it was Kanye’s sound, you can’t write him out of it influence wise. Again imo, if you call Kanye and get beats from him that’s a form of influence in itself, add to that the fact a lot of his other beats at the time were Kanye type beats and it’s pretty clear he was moved by the Blueprint sound which Kanye is a big part of

If Jay influenced Wayne to use kanye’s style of beats then without Kanye that couldn’t happen so he still influenced it happening
