Before SFG r&b production was not dark in the mainstream. Anyone with any knowledge of the genre would understand that easily.

Usher has given credit to Partynextdoor on r&b and said Usher personally influenced him. See how this works?

I’m fully convinced your not as ignorant as you claim to be and just trolling me.....That gotta be it

I’m a little confused why you keep going back to soul samples when I made the distinction twice that it’s not just soul samples. Of course Jay is why it got hot but it was Kanye’s sound, you can’t write him out of it influence wise. Again imo, if you call Kanye and get beats from him that’s a form of influence in itself, add to that the fact a lot of his other beats at the time were Kanye type beats and it’s pretty clear he was moved by the Blueprint sound which Kanye is a big part of

Also who said influence has to mean “being the sole reason”? That’s a limited definition of influence, no one is the sole reason for anything really

it’s Kanye’s sound but wayne did it because of jay. Not because of kanye

you’re the one who keeps pointing out any soul samples in the leaks and chartering it up as Kanye influence

you don’t have to be the sole reason for it to be influence, i wouldn’t say wayne is the sole reason why Kanye went so hard on autotune after him but he was definitely a main factor for sure

and wayne influenced 808s so it’s Wayne’s influence

Lmao no u mean T-Pain rappa Ternt sanga

I pointed out 2 tracks that weren’t soul samples that sound like Kanye beats

Also yeah Wayne did it because of jay but that still counts as ye influence, I hate these discussions cause I feel like people have such a narrow scope of what influence can be. If Jay influenced Wayne to use kanye’s style of beats then without Kanye that couldn’t happen so he still influenced it happening
