In the 2000's, we had way more variety than today and Drill/Trap(unless you count Jeezy/TI/Gucci) wasn't even a thing.

-Pop is less EDM/"Tropical House" influenced and more hyperpop and Disco influenced

-Hip Hop is more melodic and less lyrical than ever before in the mainstream and Drill is at its peak
