didn't Life is Good absolutely destroy Youtube views for an entire year

autoplay gassed tf out of that song. god's plan/hotline bling were way bigger songs with more iconic videos (and way more comments on both videos) and yet both have like way fewer views than life is good

He’s released solid music every year in his career, but IMO this is his first album that’s really been good front to back since 2015. The reception kinda reminds me of IYRT too. Hope he keeps putting stuff out.

I wonder if sales as a whole being down for everybody is making him just drop what he wants now, he already had the really huge albums with Views and Scorpion, thats pretty much his commercial peak

Dark Lane, CLB, Honestly Nevermind & Her Loss are pretty much him doing what he wants to do, not really any crazy singles on any of those either

"Ten years in and y'all yet to hear my most impressive verses"

    he wasnt lying

Honestly Nevermind did really poor streaming numbers and Her Loss is good but worse than his earlier stuff so yeah probably.

I agree regarding the reception. But imo he released several better projects than Her Loss after IYRTITL

My tier of post-2015 drake would honestly be (1) More Life (2) Dark Lane Demo Tapes (3) H,M and Scorpion (4) Views & CLB, with More Life being the only one I really think could’ve been great with just a little more work. Still, despite the fact that I don’t think he’s been an albums artist since 2015 lotta people feel differently.

I think the strong rap content on NWTS and IYRTITL and the long wait for Views skewed the expactations. Out of TC, NWTS and IYRT Take Care is my preferred project and Views seems more a sequel to that than to the other 2.
With Views Drake branched out his sound more and more and it got harder and harder to get a cohesive album and please all fans.

    My tier post-2015

    1: Views
    2: Scorpion Side B
    3. CLB
    4. More Life / HNVM
    5. HL
    6. Scorpion Side A / DLDT

I still enjoy all those project a lot though

well no because he still needs a reputation if he wants to negotiate another deal

Called Drake now, he replied saying:
