Greatest album of all time and part of me is glad he never tried to follow it up because he will never live up to the expectations he set for himself

A part of me thinks this too but the singles he has dropped after are as good as blonde. Chanel > most songs on blonde. He has it in him

I do think whatever music he releases will be great, I just think his mysteriousness and the fact that all his projects are either classic or near classic, I just can't see his next project living up to what fans will expect

Nah I agree it won’t. I think it will be just as good, but it’s going to have a half-life 3 effect where the expectation is just impossible to live up to for fans, regardless of it’s quality. People were also in their formative years when Blonde came out, so it will always have a sentimental value that music might not usually have in your early 30s. At least not until we are much older

That’s why he should’ve just dropped more imo. If he’d come out w that album in 2019 it wouldn’t have have to been on Blonde’s level, with a 10 year wait people are gonna expect his next album to be one of the best albums of all time and anything other than that will be met with huge disappointment
