There probably isn't anything they can post to actually prove Drake was the one who backed off lmao. People keep acting like Drake has ever been scared to go at Kendrick. He sent shots at Kendrick on NWTS and on the S***! Remix. Did an interview with Elliott Wilson in 2013 and said it boldly that Kendrick isn't killing him on any level and in anything and in the same interview, basically called Kendrick a b**** for dapping him up like it was all love at an award show a few weeks before dropping Control.

Drake has done nothing to suggest he's scared of Kendrick. That's just a stupid narrative idiots like to run with because they imagine anyone sees Kendrick as this big, bad wolf.

This is the same Kendrick who backed away like a hoe when Big Sean called him up to know if they had a problem or not lmao. Did the same thing when he dropped that Control verse and a thousand rappers responded. All he does is throw shots and duck away like he didn't do anything. Please.

Let me know how this is ^ Kendrick backing down? Big Sean made that phone call so this wouldn’t come out 😂😂

Please. Big Sean went on record and said he asked Kendrick man to man if they had any problems and all the smoke Kendrick apparently had disappeared into thin air. He didn't lie. That's all Kendrick does. He can act like a big monster on songs but when anyone actually challenges him on s***, he backs away. He's done this way too many times.

Y'all keep acting like because he's a good rapper, he can kill everybody in a rap beef but why does he keep ducking from every chance he's ever had to actually beef with someone? Kendrick just wants to be perceived to be this scary character but he isn't. He's a good rapper and that's where it begins and ends. Many niggas have come at this man and all he does is deny he sent shots first or he ignores it. That's all he knows how to do.

    J. Cole was ready for Kendrick after that Control verse and he backed away from that smoke too

I was home alone, next thing I know
That long ass verse from a song called "Control" was on
The room got nearer, the tune got clearer
That's when I seen the s*** playing on your phone
Girl, what is that, a ringtone?
    s***, not you too
Man that hype done got you too
    Everybody and their momma gassed
Even my momma asked what I'mma do
    Decisions, decisions
In case this is war, then I load up on all ammunition
If a nigga want problems, my trigger's on auto
I'll make sure that nobody miss him

This is exactly how Drake felt about that Control verse, like it was some overhyped s*** with no real teeth to it but y'all tried to make it like Drake was being a b**** when basically every rapper felt this way. F*** outta here with y'all acting like anyone is scared of that man.

There was no joke about it. Listen to the verse. He was f***ing serious. I'm not entirely show but I believe he later confirmed that he also hit up Kendrick and asked him if they had problems and Kendrick said they didn't lmao. That's why it didn't go further than that.

It actually did. Go and listen to J. Cole's Combat Jack interview. He called Kendrick and asked him if they had any issues and Kendrick said no they didn't.

I haven't heard the interview but if he did do that, that verse was still clearly a joke and came out months later

How can you hear that verse and think it was a joke? There was nothing comical about J. Cole's energy on that song. When did J. Cole EVER say it was a joke? Just stop.

The FACT is that Kendrick was about that energy on Control and called out a bunch of names and most if not all those names responded in one way or another and he BACKED AWAY. I have a clip from an interview he did over a year after the song dropped and he was still acting like it was just all love lmao.

That's my point. He acts like he wants the smoke on songs to get y'all excited but when it comes to ACTUALLY scrapping with another rapper, it never happens. Y'all are delusional enough to think it's because anyone is scared of him when that couldn't be further from the truth. That's all I'm saying.

I love Kendrick's music and think he's one of the best of his generation but facts are facts.

What can you say about Drake that someone hasn’t said before? Every diss towards Drake would end up sounding like Papa Doc at the end of 8 Mile.

“You’re Soft” “You were on Degrassi” lmfao cool bro

The fact he survived the baby s*** and ghostwriting means Kendrick would have to say something bigger than that

Kenny is not battle tested, would love to see a back and forth between him and any top tier artist, would be really interesting to see unfold.
