    I love Kendrick but I’ve never seen a rapper like drake take shots from every way from every rapper and still come out with a W.

    How can you hear that verse and think it was a joke? There was nothing comical about J. Cole's energy on that song. When did J. Cole EVER say it was a joke? Just stop.

    The FACT is that Kendrick was about that energy on Control and called out a bunch of names and most if not all those names responded in one way or another and he BACKED AWAY. I have a clip from an interview he did over a year after the song dropped and he was still acting like it was just all love lmao.

    That's my point. He acts like he wants the smoke on songs to get y'all excited but when it comes to ACTUALLY scrapping with another rapper, it never happens.     I get what the purpose of his Control verse was but there are better ways than to be that confrontational on a record and to go as far as to call people by their names. Rappers are sensitive. Some rappers will flat out diss you if they so much as think you sent shots at them so how did Kendrick think the rappers would take the verse? Especially after media hyped it like crazy. It left a bitter taste in everyone's mouth and that shouldn't have surprised him.
