Does this mean that WATTBA is gonna officially be tossed to the side for Her Loss as if it’s a way better project for the long haul?
Will discourse around that album forever be tainted?
yeah it’s over pretty much
they were already saying WATTBA was “overrated” when there were a little rumblings with Metro’s Twitter
it’s in their best interest to say WATTBA sucks anyways because Future probably had the best verse on the entire project with Digital Dash from the jump
Her Loss been better since its release day
Yup. Any time Drake Stan’s hate someone, they think their music is trash
Then when drake is cool with them, Drake stans like the music again

That's stan culture in general tbh.
WATTBA is the better album and easily the bigger and more important moment. Her Loss was a drake project with mediocre 21 Savage verses thrown in so every song wouldn't be 1 or 2 mins long
Her Loss surpassed WATTBA as a body of work before any of this
The impact of WATTBA is special for sure and I love the highs
But one could easily say it’s half cooked in comparison to Her Loss
Even though there’s not a ton of 21 it’s just a much more substantial project. Makes WATTBA feel like an EP
2015 Drake >>>> 2022 Drake
Future always > 21 Savage
This one is no contest
You can say that year comment and it makes sense because IYRT happened
But there’s no way you actually believe drake’s performances on WATTBA are better than his performances on Her Loss lol. Drake actually wasn’t that good on most of WATTBA

yep pretty much
it’s also funny because whenever they talk about Her Loss and how much better it is, they’re listing songs like Middle Of The Ocean, Hours Of Silence or I Guess It’s F*** Me, 21 was essentially just a side character for most of the project they pretended to stan lol

that can be argued as to why WATTBA is a “4/10” all of the sudden
i wouldn’t gas a project that has my fav getting dog walked for most of it lol

And WATTBA is just future songs with a drake verse added
Yeah drake was the side character on that one
I personally think the Drake songs with 21 added was a better dynamic than Future with drake added
Drake got way better at rapping on those kind of beats over that time period
I don’t think it takes points off that 21 is a supporting role. It works well as a project to me

You can, actually. Drake is a lot more charming and likable on WATTBA than he is on Her Loss and his delivery was a lot more active back then. I'll take Drake bragging in his hungry 2015 voice over the sleepy misogyny of Her Loss any day. Totally overrated album from him by stans.
And Future straight up washes 21, that's not debatable.

WATTBA also actually sounds like a collaborative effort
they got Drake on hooks on there, what did 21 do besides mumble and sleepwalk through his verses on Her Loss outside of the little trading bars thing with “On BS”
tracks like Plastic Bag are really nice and doesn’t even feel like it’s competitive, they both brought something unique to the production on there

Yeah ok, to me that sounds like your perception of drake as a person is just different than it was in 2015 and you’re letting that color your experience
I’m not talking about lyrical content because both are misogynist projects if that’s your critique. Unironically I found it lame that drake was telling his girl “you better not be on the phone when I get home” but I guess I beat y’all to the critiquing his misogyny by a few years
When you say he was more charming and likable it’s so blatantly just your perception and drake fatigue
Drake’s flow and vocal performances are simply much better on Her Loss. Actually less sleepy. I would describe his flow on WATTBA as a bit flabby and slow. A lot of that old “WHOAAAAA” back to back flow which doesn’t hold up so well
