Yea it’s damn near 6x platinum. Still on billboard after 3 years
Kendrick is kinda like ranking KD top 2-3 in the NBA. Everyone knows it's his place but when you're out for the year (or in Kendrick's case 3 years), it's not relevant to include him until he comes back.
To you.
If a majority of people of a community can agree that album ‘X’ is to be the greatest album of all time. Then it’s regarded as the greatest album of all time in that community, whats so hard about understanding this

Truth is, if Kendrick had a proper rollout and dropped this year, that’s 300k+ easily
If Ye has a proper rollout and dropped this year, that’s 300k+ easily
Their spots in the top 5 shouldn’t even be debated unless ur tired of them being in the top 5 so much so that you’d create a delusional narrative in which they aren’t
ye will never do 300k+ as long as he keeps doing religious music imo
You taking about 69?
Didn’t gooba fall out the top 10 this week? Lmfaooo
The highest solo track Gunna has ever got on the top 100 peaked at 56th
This subjectivity discussion doesn’t even make coherent sense. Why do we bother debating hip hop on this site alone

what's hard for you to understand that you'll never be able to get the opinions of the actual majority for you to say it's a fact.
So you rely on critics to skew your view on what's good and what's not in music.
yeah, we're not the same. i don't give a s*** about what a "critic" has to say, never read a review either because i could care less.
Now your capping. I never said that. I said when their opinions are less biased. I like what I like but I don’t listen to everything. I would never go to a country award show and say Kenny chesney deserves to win because I don’t listen to most country lol. I’m biased towards him. So therefore the critics of that genre would be less biased.

that will change next week

i've heard of critics being biased, so you don't really know who's biased and who's not.

well i hope it will do better than 56th.....
but it certainly wont be top 10. Nobody cares about Gunna

that's why it sparks debate, because it is subjective
usually, you don't really debate things that are objective.

his album sales say different. looking at 130k fw and that's a high majority of just sales off of streaming
I agree he's not top 5 though

It doesn’t matter. Their opinion is still more informed and less bias than someone that haven’t listened to something else. Drake fans all of a sudden bae Travis. You can see the trends on ktt.
They went from praising Travis to hating him
From loving pusha to hating pusha
From Kanye and drake fans acknowledging each other to them hating each other. Of course their bias is worst.
People on this site would say MBDTF isn’t a classic because thy love drake lol.
Kids get one popular song and they're the next Drake good lord
Roddy is about to get his 2nd #1 this year but ok
When Cole, Kendrick, Post, Travis, Drake, etc all do 500k plus are we gonna stop pretending like 100k is good?
and then it proceeded to drop by 73% in it's second week of tracking
and only 1 of the songs off the album was barley a hit. Sorry but there is no way that Kanye is in the "current top 5", the idea that he is laughable
The fact that it dropped in its 2nd week is irrelevant to me because the first week sales still happened and my point is that the only reason it did that much first week is because it had his name attached to it. If Future dropped the same way and told us he was doing a gospel album, with a completely f***ed up rollout with several pump faked release dates, and in this moral climate he wouldn’t even crack 100k. Same with f***ing Lil Baby lmaoo

About to? I don't do future tense accolades brother
ye will never do 300k+ as long as he keeps doing religious music imo
That’s what’s up but that’s not my point, it’s the fact that he already did. And even after that, he was the most talked about hip hop artist before dojas coonery because of the news that he had became a billionaire
About to? I don't do future tense accolades brother
rockstar is top 5 on billboard and it's streaming numbers aren't slowing down only speeding up you'll praise him when he gets there b
Lil Baby tells us he’s gonna do a gospel album he’d be dropped from his label TONIGHT

One of the two is true.
Either,
(1) Music is subjective.
Or,
(2) Music is not subjective.
If (1) is the case, then 3/4s of our discussions are utter stupidity. Most conversation on here is "X is great/good/bad/suck/the worst/the best", and if thesis (1) is true, this conversation is noise. It doesn't, cannot, mean anything at all. You could say "I perceive X to be..." and perhaps this discussion would be useful, but this is typically not the case.
If (2) is the case, one can presumably say that one artist is objectively better than another artist. If (2) is the case, then what we do largely makes sense. Flow, lyrics, beats, it can all be quantified, and if not quantified we can at least identify the attributes that are "good". If this is the case, don't say "music is subjective" when you can no longer defend your opinion. The logical consequence of this is that there should be a hierarchy that can be made of artists, truly crowning one as the goat.
But you cant have both. This is what I’m attempting to say dude
