Again. A song charting in 2024 for a week or two and they falling off isn’t a chart success for a big name artist.

But whatever bro. You need to live in your pretend world where s*** like housekeeping knows is a successful song so imma let you rock

I literally never said that song was successful I listed all the songs that charted. That was one of them.

I don't think it's impressive a Drake song charted for a week. I think it charting without artwork music video push short tracking week and being available for free stream and download elsewhere is. I don't even like the record

Damn you're telling me after a 16 year long career of never before seen commercial dominance he's starting to not be #1, shocking.

Plus young people who look at Drake like he's 38 don't listen to his music, again shocking.

Commercial dominance during the streaming era, sure. He didn't have a single solo #1 in the era prior, and he was making his best music back then. Chart numbers mean nothing now--the sooner KTT comes to grips with that, the better. And thats for all artist. Kanye just got a #1 record with Carnival ffs

Agree he didn't have a solo #1 then however

Drake has had 23 songs reach #2 starting with Best I Ever Had in 2009.
What's My Name released Oct 25th 2010 and would be Drake's 1st ever #1 which he is featured on from Rihanna's album Loud which sold 207k first week, which was the highest first-week sales of her career at the time. The album was released on November 16, 2010 and debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200 chart.

Thank Me Later, sold 447,000 copies in the United States in its first week. It was released on June 15, 2010 and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.

Point being he has always been commercially dominant not just in the streaming era

    Drake stimulus even then

I’m saying why even mention that they charted if we both know it doesn’t really mean anything in the context of these songs

Like okay the Camila song charted for one week

The whole gimmick was he was emptying out the BTS footage from different points in his career and then he dropped like 3 or 4 promotional singles to accompany it.

I'm not gonna go off my opinion, I like everything Drake did this year except
    Housekeeping Knows
    As We Speak

I'm a fan, you caught me, so I'm trying to use objective measurements for plays engagement streams charts to see where the play ultimately rolls to.

It's not though, the image is default music file image. I get it very meta, and symbolic.

You're the one pushing the narrative that 100 Gbs should have been better received

That’s not what I’m doing. I’m simply saying the songs flopped. I don’t really care about what they should have done, I’m just telling you the reality of what they actually did.

The only reason I even brought up Carti is because you tried to use the “he dropped on his burner IG” cope

How can you call the songs a flop if you can’t even define what success would look like? Maybe you're just biased against Drake and trying to rationalize it in real time

We’ve had multiple songs that were hits this year or songs that didn’t make it onto DSPs that still made an impact like 2024 by Carti.

You don’t need me to spell out what a successful non flip song looks like

Carti has a lot of fans in the 25+ age group that were in HS when he blew up. I’d argue 2024 was more impactful and a bigger song than anything Drake dropped outside of the beef
