    ok?

    what’s your point

The world isn’t social media but the thread is about how social media is pressuring youth to look a certain way, and how that can be problematic

tbh social media has mostly been highlighting what is already there.

of course i am well aware of the problems and insecurities it has caused but genuinely i believe it is not a large portion of society as certain people make it out to be.

when we see so many leftist voices on social media we also tend to believe it is a representative of society but it never is…

these problems were caused by tv, film, magazines.

social media allows different bodies to be appreciated but it’s the similar way tv does.

these problems start at home. beauty standards begin with parenting and attention. when the shorty isn't receiving that attention at home, she'll check the streets out.
Guess, maybe this is a capitalism flaw that the focus on career rather family has taken its toll.
Also in politics, this could potentially be a flaw in liberalism. Liberating the women, now they're going to the extreme for attention because they're the divine feminine. Men need to keep their houses in order rather speak quietly about these issues.
