Mostly pro-China revisionist LARPers that have very little in the way of actual organizing experience and social democrats pretending to be communists

/r/communism can have some useful resources and helped me a lot when I was a baby Maoist in high school despite their revisionism, but r/socialism is a total s***hole

In that they believe in the “Actually Existing Socialism” of China, Laos, etc and are generally hostile to Maoist movements in India and the Philippines

The way its mainly a bunch of dudes on the left that think communism is going to get rid of desire and sexual need is f***ing incredible.

Even worse the assumption nobody will want to fill those desires and needs.

We just don’t think women (overwhelmingly colonized women at that) should be forced to sell their bodies out of necessity or because a pimp has a stranglehold on them.

And it’s almost always men that are the least critical of prostitution and glorify it because they want to still have the luxury to buy women after the revolution.

If people want to participate in s***work on their own volition that’s fine but prostitution specifically needs to be a relic of the past. It is a violent industry that serves to perpetuate the idea of women as objects. Most women do not want to be in the s***industry and it disproportionately affects colonized women on a global scale. It’s generally white petite bourgeois women and men that romanticism it so much

People who take the position I do are not anti s***worker we are anti prostitution. Same way we should all be against the coal industry and pro coal workers

I've just started reading Socialist theory a few months ago so I'm still very new to everything.

I've been put on to Mao by some people I met recently and have just started diving into Maoist theory. I just read Mao's writing on dialectical materialism and am about to move into the mass line.

OnlyFans takes too much money from those people so nah OnlyFans is bad.

Excellent easy to read book on it that unfortunately was never finished. But just peep the first four chapters if you don’t wanna read the whole thing, they’re very short and it’s what we use to teach the mass line to new cadres here

I recently read a book called brokered subjects by Elizabeth Bernstein that's pretty good about the whole s***trafficking/sex work etc ., industry and the weird fixation some have on saving those people especially in "3rd world" countries.
