Liberals have been crying about a global right shift in elections forever. Guess what? Most people don't vote

Idk I feel like those living under elected governments might care who's being elected but what do I know

  • Jun 11, 2024

Never spoke of it solely in electoral terms anyways.

its the only system which allows us to scientifically and rationally plan our economy based on human need. capitalism on the other hand is driven by the anarchy of the market and is hurtling us toward multiple manmade extinction events.

Hmm cool, how come every country isn’t doing well with communism?

idk what you mean by not doing well because russia became the second largest European economy in 20-year period after the revolution (its in the s***s ever since they did away with socialism) and China is the 2nd largest world economy to date after inheriting its socialist project

most other socialist states were their satellites and consequentially got f***ed when both countries stopped maintaining socialism. generally its a rigorous system to uphold but 'doing well' is as vague of a definition as it gets. elimination of illiteracy, unemployment, and homelessness, as well as introduction of women rights are all commonly associated with various socialist projects like the aforementioned, Cuba, etc.

their was never a timeline where the EU, a supernational formation to institutionalize franco-german imperialism built atop the ruins of the Third Reich, became anything but explicitly fascist

cuba and china have economies of a qualitatively different nature. the law of value doesnt predominate in the former like it does in the latter. I dont think cuba is a capitalist country but I also dont really care what people think so long as they oppose the blockade as well as fascist counterrevolution.

    Why not?

I was just a little confused cause he just said China is doing very well after adopting the socialist experiment from USSR but told me they're living under a capitalist hedgemony yesterday

I dont see the exact comment youre talking about but I would assume they mean the socialist period following the revolution. the development of modern chinese capitalism was a protracted process and often used the socialized wealth of the revolutionary period as a form of primitive accumulation.

  • Jun 12, 2024

in general if chinese people have decent living standards compared to other east asian countries its only because their are still pieces of the socialist superstructure that haven't been cannibalized by the needs of the international bourgeoisie. you saw some of this during zero-covid (which like everything else, became the domain of class struggle and further compromise with the demands of the imperialists who needed china "open for business").

WRU claimed people in communist countries (and China who have the worlds second largest economy.. which I thought was a result of the roaders) don't waste their lives on wage survival and I'm just trying to picture what getting old in a socialist country is like.

I'm in Vancouver so I know where a lot of them end up : but like Jia Zhangke portrayed in iirc Platform... most people don't get to go anywhere. "Nobody knows where those planes go or who's is in them"

the problems in cuba dont stem from a lack of jobs or a reserve pool of wage labor. you actually do get to retire with a pension and chill out and play chess in your golden years with the full support of society.
