their is no "multipolarity", China and Russia cannot compete with the imperialist countries at their own game except through war (as in Ukraine) or through sabre-rattling and flooding the region with cheap plastic garbage (as in the South China Sea). the entire idea is a basterdized concept from the Non-Aligned Movement (peaceful coexistence), this time as farce. imperialism is a totalizing system, countries do not escape the logic of capitalism through national sovereignty and import substitution. if you want to argue that third-world countries being able to leverage the progressive elements of Chinese/Russian nationalism against the west is a good thing (as in the AoSS), thats a different argument entirely and has nothing to do with the degraded liberal concept of "multipolarity".
