Ok that's true. But my position is its much too late in the USA. If there was ever a strong workers party that was able to maintain a place in government it would be different. At the end of the day the conditions have to be present. What do you think would cause the American working class to believe they truly need socialists in power?

why would it be "too late"? the american southwest is only becoming more latino. black people are still a colonized mass. indigenous people are still scoring legal victories. anti-colonial revolution has never been off the table.

Cause the material conditions haven't changed. America is still an imperial power. Demographics do not change this fundamental fact. The American identity isn't simply racial. It can change form in whatever way it needs to protect capitalism

the American ruling class has never been able to build an effective neocolony. the closest attempt at doing so was Radical Reconstruction following the Civil War and it was a failure which gave way to Jim Crow and increased American apartheid.

The * Tenants Union will announce the union and submit our demands on 3/1. We will be having a press conference at the property on 3/2 at 2:00 PM as we expropriate the lawn that the landlord has taken away from them and is trying to sell off. The landlord tore down a large oak tree all the tenants loved, so after seizing the property we will plant a new oak tree this Sunday as part of the press conference, and convert the rest of the space to a community garden in the coming weeks. We are hoping to get a lot of supporters out Sunday to show the Union that Omaha has their backs, as this situation is going to escalate rather rapidly. Please feel free to let any sympathizers know to have people come out, but please keep things under wraps publicly until the announcement. This last part is very not public, but the Union voted to go on rent strike on 4/1/25 if our demands are not met and the rent increases are not rolled back. Thus it is really important we create a media spectacle and generate public support for the tenants, as they are entering highly uncharted territory for the state of Nebraska that could have serious ramifications for the movement going forward, which is why we’re trying to rally the community early on. We will have more information on ways to support the strike if/when that time comes once we make that public.
