i feel you and i'll have to think about your first line

but as for the latter, the state controlling the market, unless at some hyper level of communication and the absence of bureacracy, won't be as quick to gather consumer preferences as allowing consumers to sort themselves.

Hyper level of communication like an intertwined network an Inter-Net

so ok we'll go with the internet, why do we need the state to centrally plan when we can just talk to each other and secure our own s***?

Because you’d be acting in self interest and not collective interest

why is the state the real arbiter of the collective interests?

everyone has different preferences, people can organise themselves accordingly, there is also a non zero chance this state gets hijacked by a self serving bureacracy (again)

yea I know about their historical difference but most trots organisations programs now adays are identical to ML

In theory yes but there's a lot of weird s*** about trots like their connection to neocons

I think hitchens for example was a trot before he turned neocon

tru heard about s*** about em like entryism, think the trot neocon thing is mainly just a meme based of a few historical people that really don’t have an impact on the current day trot movement though

Oh yeah it's not like regular trots these days are closet neocons but there was definitely some history

also whats with uni socialist groups being mostly trots anyways pretty sure @Cudderwalks mentioned this before here, but my uni just opened a general socialist group and most of them are trots

def wasn't me, I haven't actually ever been to uni on campus. I'm a senior in college atm but have taken everything online/at a community college. I'm gonna be attending in person for my last year.

All my organizing experience comes from working class areas in a major city.

Honestly, have never met a trot don't think they're a big factor when it comes to communists in 2021

The growing Rank and Flie Committee movement, despite increasingly desperate denial from the pseudo-left Pabloite revisionist renegades, is striking fear into the hearts of the global imperialist monopoly bourgeoisie. Global capitalism, now more than 80 years into its terminal death agony, can only be transcended through the fulfillment of the objective historical revolutionary role of the proletariat. The emancipation of the proletariat must be the act of the proletariat itself - under the leadership, of course, of the one true world party of socialist revolution, the International Committee of the Fourth International. In their steadfast struggle against all forms of pseudo-left vulgarizations of revolutionary Marxism, David North and the SEP have won the Rank and File proletariat to a genuine Marxist program. The contradictions of global imperialism threaten a Third World War fought with nuclear weapons, and therefore the fate of not just the working class, but the human species itself, depends on resolutely exposing the Pabloites, Grantites, Cliffites, Healyites, Hansenites, Wohlforthites, Mandelites, Steinerites, and all other forms of counter-revolutionary opportunism blocking the path to left unity and planetary proletarian revolution. We urge all workers, youth, and intellectuals stirred by this call to action to unite in Rank and File Committees and to contact the International Committee today.

@Synopsis I‘m really interested in the ideology of Communism/Socialism even though I‘m anti-communist & anti-capitalist - do you know any books I could read that you would view as neutral?

    @Synopsis

I‘m anti-capitalism because Inequality creates social division & the rich are exploiting the poor.

And I‘m not really anti-communist because of the idea. I‘m more against followers who deny the killing of Uyghur muslims or act like some leaders who killed many people were gods just because they want to defend their ideology. And mostly because of radical lefts in my home country (Turkey) and their support of terrorist organizations like the PKK. (Before you try to argue against me yes I‘m against Erdogan and turkish nationalism too). And I‘m not against Kurds I like the Peshmerga for example. Plus I don‘t fw the idea that businesses are ultimately owned by the government and I want personal property.

I just think there is no perfect system or ideology for human nature because we are too complex. Maybe in the future - I hope so.
