If this round of wealth distribution is only part of an overall shift towards the left by China we really may see the end of capitalism by the end of our lifetime

What do you mean "this round"?
Are they conducting some form of wealth redistribution right now?

It's interesting bc i just listened to a Richard Wolff talk and he said that China's plan for the last minute has been to temporarily adopt capitalism in order to transition to socialism and if they hold true to this promise Wolff may be right

    Thanks for linking the article.

China has consistently shown that it is an anomaly as a capitalist nation, it is not a servant to capital as many other countries are.

Just recently, the punishing of billionaires and the crackdown on the private companies are things that I support 100%

I think all communists should be less harsh towards Deng, and instead have a more open mind and watch as it plays out favorably

It just depends on the willingness of the masses, the class consciousness of the masses, and the desire of the bourgeois to conduct class-suicide. That's why Deng's technique of liberalizing the economy is so f***ing dangerous and is often seen as counter-productive to the socialist movement

Look up "New Democracy' to see how Mao wanted to use the bourgeois class for the benefit of the nation, its not a new concept that China is using to rely on the bourgeoisie.

It's Very interesting and has never been done before. IMO it is a great a***ysis on semi-fuedal nations (as nations need capital, and semi-fuedal nations need a strong but lack a bourgeoisie class) and they so far a great execution on the a***ysis.

Yeah too many western leftists are too dogmatic to understand that arguing over your own revolution means you won’t be able to help a major movement for the left succeed

    There must be solidarity

So far the billionaire class has grown resilient but they have no support in the populace

I’m sure there’s Marxist education for every kid there considering it’s one of the four principles of Dengist thought

punishing billionaires who contradict the government

not being a slave to private capital doesnt mean a state is going to govern in the interests of its people. chinese government clearly has the confidence of most chinese people and has eradicated extreme poverty- but that's not to say they will always be the best organ of help

it comes down to whether the institutions become extractive and serve the party establishment, or if they become inclusive and more responsive to the peoples needs

I can see China take drastic redistributive measures for their own population, but I don't see them stopping Chinese corporations from exploiting workers in other countries

"We can't wait until the generation that thinks of blacks as ni****s and the rest of the world as gooks, chinks, spics, etc., has been educated away. It may be the reverse that happens; we ni*****s and gooks may be blown away first. Or if we survive, what will we inherit? A desert?"
