both American and Chinese involvement in second and third world countries is awful, but i dont think some American users on here realise how awful it is for the average person in those countries
been lurking the thread these past 15 or so pages, pure entertainment
came in this thread today as a proud card carrying Brooklyn DSA member
I leave convinced... democracy is ontologically evil

What’s awful about Chinese involvement

Nice brother! You like Khomeini 👍
You read many of his works? May I recommend Tahrirolvasyleh?
Here is an excerpt from it, I think you are going to find it very insightful and useful
" It is better for a girl to marry when her menstruation starts, and at her husband's house rather than her father's home.
Any father marrying his daughter so young will have a permanent place in heaven." - Khomeini, Tahrirolvasyleh" fourth volume, Darol Elm, Gom, Iran, 1990.
“It is not illegal for an adult male to 'thigh' or enjoy a young girl who is still in the age of weaning; meaning to place his p**** between her thighs, and to kiss her.” Ayatu Allah Al Khumaini's "Tahrir Al wasila" p. 241, issue number 12.
"Young boys or girls in full sexual effervescence are kept from getting married before they reach the legal age of majority. This is against the intention of divine laws. Why should the marriage of pubescent girls and boys be forbidden because they are still minors, when they are allowed to listen to the radio and to sexually arousing music?" -
"The Little Green Book" "Sayings of the Ayatollah Khomeini", Bantam Books
“A man can have s***with animals such as sheep, cows, ewe, camels and so on. However, he should kill the animal after he has his o*****. He should not sell the meat to the people in his own village; however, selling the meat to the next door village should be fine. - Khomeini's book, "Tahrirolvasyleh" fourth volume, Darol Elm, Gom, Iran, 1990
Well fact is every Gonzaloist I spoke to except you seemed to be a giant retärd.
Of course socialism cannot be reached through mere reforms, however, this doesn't negate the necessity of reforms.
China was the birthplace of the cultural revolution and still turned revisionist right afterwards so I am not sure if that alone can help.
The "fighting battles" in the US sounds nice in theory but just ends up throwing red paint at DSA campus activists and putting pig heads in front of buildings and other goofy s***. A lot of it is just adventurism.
Gonzalo-Maoists don't have mass organizations in most countries. India? Naxalites don't even have mass bases in their parts of the country. At least Kerala has a communist party ruling. Phillipines? Not Gonzaloists. Peru? Shining Path is dead. Europe? Lol no. USA? No. Nepal? Not Gonzaloists.
The fact is most people have never even heard of Gonzalo, not even most leftists. I am sure a lot of the recent stuff comes from Gonzalo dying. If Pol Pot died 1 month ago you would see these Twitter activists simping for them.
Another thing Gonzaloists love to do is show graffitis or little protests with 5 people and say "the masses are accepting Gonzalo thought", there are entire leftypol threads like this. Their newest line is that Brazil is doing a mass PPW, which isn't even true. They just inflate their numbers and also claim movements they don't even lead just like anarchists love to claim Chiapas and Rojava for themselves: https://leftypol.org/leftypol/res/609832.html
I still think you have some misconstrued idea of what Maoists think PPW is. We don't think that throwing paint at DSA members is a ppw. Maoists don't believe in just launching a war tomorrow, we still believe in the careful build up of forces and building of consciousness of the masses. Just like you said, of course we can't just hand your local Amazon worker a gun and tell him to join the revolution.
I also have never seen any Maoists say the Brazil is having a ppw if they did they're wrong. The only ppws going on are in the Philippines, Peru, Turkey and India. But Maoists in Brazil have been building red bases, that's true. Just last month the Brazilian state of Rondônia surrendered large swaths of farm land that the League of Poor Peasants had captured and held against attacks from the state for over a year.
I know you've been a major supporter in the rise of the Democratic Left in South America. But there's also been a rise in support for Maoism in South America obviously nowhere near the same size. But Maoist Communists Parties in South/Latin America are some of the most advanced in the world.
Honestly I don't know. My position is to try and see things for what they really are as much as i can.
thats a good ideological foundation id say
my personal favorite book to recommend to people in a similar position to you is Blackshirts and Reds by Michael Parenti. Parenti's background is in journalism and in B&R he explores reactionary misconceptions about demonized socialist movements and countries. He doesn't hold back on criticizing the USSR etc where deserved, but he approaches the topic with a bias towards material reality and debunking commonly held beliefs which actually makes it a really interesting and easy read.

I would say Philippines and India. Peru is over man, there isnt even a SP left, just a narco-splinter organization. Turkey, eh, barely a PPW, they bomb s*** here and there which is absolutely f***ing useless I might add as a Turkish poster. Adventurists only help the state in cracking down on leftists before they even had the semblance of a chance to grow. If you can't reach power after 50 to 60 years of struggle then it's time to change strategies. The Russians didn't have the same strategy for 5 decades either, you had Narodniks and Social Revolution party and the Mensheviks and the Bolsheviks and years where they where just organizing secretly and years where they were organizing more openly, years where they fled the country, years where they came back, years where nobody was using weapons, you had years where they were trying communes, there was a lot of different things going on in that time period. Meanwhile Shining Path were chilling in the same jungle for almost half a century. Their chances ended the moment Guzman got arrested anyway

both American and Chinese involvement in second and third world countries is awful, but i dont think some American users on here realise how awful it is for the average person in those countries
it's disingenuous to both sides this issue, and a neutral stance generally benefits America's current order and hegemony.

also just to add second world is the USSR. which doesn't exist anymore.

You know he was pen pals with Jimmy Carter and begged him to let him take the throne and in return he promised to line up the commies infront of a firing squad, right?

Communists who committed multiple terrorist attacks against civilians and sided with Saddam and the west during the Iran Iraq War. They deserved it.
Can you elaborate on it or what

There's still contingent of members of the Shining Path who didn't fall into the right opportunist line fighting under the command of comrade Laura in one region of Peru. It's not really a full fledged ppw but there is still a flicker.

Realistically these are a couple hundred people at best, maybe not even that. Is this really worth basing an ideology off?
