Not quite sure but why does it matter? Serious question tbh

It’s not like it’s a super pressing issue, but it does have implications for how we understand Marxist philosophy and the role of philosophy in relation to science as a whole. Which is kinda important given the way Marxist philosophy has typically positioned itself in the wake of the 11th Thesis, and the line struggles surrounding that issue. I could write a lot on this but I mean if you want to get really deep I think the mechanical and oftentimes really metaphysical application of dialectics that results in statements such as “dialectics can explain all the natural sciences” leads to some really bad applications of dialectics in other areas, such as (I would argue) Stalin’s poor understanding of dialectics in relation to class struggle which ultimately opened the door for revisionism and capitalist restoration but that’s a whole essay

Hmm I mean nothing specifically tying the “nature question” to Stalin’s application of dialectics, that’s something I’ve kinda pieced together myself with a lot of influence from JMP and other Marxist philosophers after having studied dialectics for some time

If you specifically want some criticism of the application of dialectics to nature, check out the article I link to Choking on the last page, and if you want a good easy to read overview of dialectics and their importance I recommend the pdf for Torsion and Tension by JMP which is also on that page, which touches on some of these issues. This one also talks about a lot of what I’m getting at moufawad-paul.blogspot.com/2013/08/lament-for-dialectical-thinking.html?m=1

If you want a rather long read about class struggle in the USSR and many of the errors Stalin made in regards to it from a “proto Maoist” perspective, I highly recommend this marx2mao.com/Other/CSSUi76NB.html (I think this is an essential history on the USSR)

If you’re looking for general reads on dialectics/the role of philosophy in relation to science/Marxism then I have a lot lol so just lmk and I’ll put together a list

Apparently the nationalist ideology that Meiji restoration government was pushing was so alien to people at first that some villages thought the state propagandists they sent were Christian missionaries and killed them for being "enemies of the province and Bhuddism"

    It's all imagined communities 👨‍🚀

Anarchists are so excited on twitter because someone flipped a "tankies" table at their book fair. It's so sad

Tonight was the night we fought. Nothing could stop us. We are proles on our stroll. Fighting our conditions. we are workers-in-combat. Rent signs, kicked. Garbage, in the street. Tables, flipped.

I checked the pics and one of em is clearly black (not that it matters that much), it's funny how that seems to be their litmus test

What do we think about this:

"These actions from the perspective of our organizers are indistinguishable from fascist racist attacks and fall in line with the establishment desire for this type of anticommunist propaganda. White people have no right to police the methodology that we use to fight for freedom!"

Specifically "White people have no right to police the methodology that we use to fight for freedom!"
