Tbh I'm really grateful that Ethiopia was never colonized when I see how much of an impact colonial indoctrination still has on people from countries that got colonized that shyt is depressing

But I think a large part of it is just the fact that a lot of jobs are with foreign multinationals and another part of the survey is that everybody wants a job doesn't matter what it is. The fact that 99% of these jobs are in extractive industries that keep the country from developing isn't part of the equation. Also from my experience it's not like they think colonial times were good but more like" this country sucks and over there it's developped I wish we were more like them."
