i was part of a small group so it was literally who hit us up then we send a group to meet them and discuss their politics and afterward we’d discuss within ourselves how to uplift them to “our level” theirs strengths and weakness in political ideology

for example when i read the documents about me after i got recruited they described me as a Marxist Leninist with a anti revisionism bent with an interest in the cultural revolution so they first solidified me by sending documents and discussing the cultural revolution, one person literally read all of Peking Review during the cultural revolution and then they would try to develop my other political aspects
