Osama got everything he wanted and more after 9/11. What a majorly consequential set of events after that s***
We can empirically link the economic policy of Ronald Reagan and the early days of neoliberalism to the incredible increase in corporate influence of the government. I can’t think of direct examples right now. Understanding this, we can link the increased corporate influence to backing of politicians that further loosened regulations
Do you think there’s evidence to directly link their power to their ability to cooperate with the military-industrial complex, and then directing the state in their interest, and then wielding the complex as a weapon ?
the incredible increase in corporate influence of the government
can you think of any indicators/stats that would help prove this?
i found this cool graph which shows unionization levels of LatAm over time. surprise surprise they drop significantly after US supported regime change, and then a sharp rise in recent years
but yea this is a clear indication of worker unions losing political relevance as a result of neoliberal policies

You could weigh congressional votership of corporate tax cut rates against private backing to establish connotations of domestic political control of the state
This would establish the ability to tie American imperialist policy to neoliberalism
I realized I’m speaking mostly in terms of American imperialism when thinking about what fun asked
I need to read up on Latin American history
I’d say that’s what the killing shot to america was
Nah more like a reality check.

Same thing
Their heads were in the clouds finally achieving their fascist dream of killing the threat of egalitarianism and having a real-life risk map to rape and pillage
pulling them out of this quasi-heroin could’ve only lead to political suicide

Hard to quantify that the same way in the US in most latin American countries, you could show the politicians corporate ties, but idk to what extent lobbying is made public or even happens in the same way it does as the US in most of those countries

its inspiring to see how much of an influence unions and mass mobilizations had on the political sphere before neoliberalism in LatAm
but i think that influence is starting to emerge again
and then s*** like every Argentinian leader getting couped in the 20th century after ww2

I don't really get what you just said but the failure of the war on terror (or the PNAC agenda) wasn't the killing blow to the US. If we're looking for the first domino to fall its losing it's manufacturing edge. Everything since has been a reaction to that, including the development of the petrodollar that props up them up. They tried and failed to guarantee primacy against potential peer competitors through military hegemony over the middle east's oil rich regions. It's outside their capabilities, and everyone from obscure leftist academics to NatSec policymakers pointed it out. Whether or not they attempt it doesn't change the fact that they can't do it. The blowback to PNAC is like a sick anti-vaxxer's negative reaction to ivermectin, it might cause its own ailments but the reason they are sick in the first place is because have COVID.
Pulling out a pdf screenshot and someone replying with "where the tf is this from

I wonder if you guys are ready to know that we have already been living in Socialism for a long time now, and that you only think otherwise because of a New Left gnostic heresy that personalized capitalism as a psycho-pathological vice instead of a mode of production.

Is this a James Lindsay tweet
I went into one of his spaces and he had the strangest blaccents ive ever heard. Sounded like a wigger but for 70s soul brothers.
You really gonna morn the death of Nicholas Romanov lol?
Tell me in harry potter terms if i should mourn him or not which hogwart house would he belong to
Is it that widespread? With such a tiny immigrant population how has it become such a huge issue.
Media talk about it all the time for audience
And whenever a politician gets caught doing some funny business their party starts a nationwide immigration debate
Also it’s easier to blame terrorism on immigration instead of it being the consequence of foreign policies
My stance on migration to Europe is that quite frankly I don't care how negative of an impact it could potentially have on the continent if it really does get crayz in the future it's just the colonizers chickens coming home to roost
Hopefully migration from Africa will go crayz and the great replacement does actually happen fr inshallah
My god they were right all along
Theres cities in europe where the majority of the population is turkish or north african and the local factory owners that brought them here for cheap labor then end up running for mayor on right wing anti immigration platforms and win you really can’t make this up
what Latin American country resisted neoliberalism the best (besides Cuba)
Oh a bunch
Unless you mean successfully bc even Nicaragua became neolib for a minute
