I think a lot of this has to do that the material developments that have taken place in the west were later spread to non-western nations either through trade or colonialism. In some cases there's inaccurate projection from western society to non-western societies, but I don't think there's anything wrong with non-western nations using the a***yses of capitalism by westerners, since the reason for this is just simply that capitalism developed there earlier.
