The best time is probably now. Ethiopia is the weakest its been in a long time and divided even more so then us.

All we need to do is align with the Tigrayans the Sudanese and Egyptians. Firstly we should end the arms embargo and buy arms from Egypt and Turkey stocking our war chest. Then in a joint operation crush the Ethiopian federal army since they are the largest threat in the region. Leave them with out leadership reinforcements and organisation and they will fight each other for dominance.

Then give the Tigrayans an independent country (except from lake tana which we will absorb as a gift;) making them a loyal and extremely militaristic ally similar to the Eritreans. Then give Sudan the disputed region on the sudo-ethiopian border appeasing them and guarantee the Egyptians that the Nile wont run dry allowing it to flow 70% of capacity. In the end we could achieve Greater Somalia and strong allies for the future in the process. Next step in our expansion would be to absorb the entirety of Kenya, perhaps 10 years later as we build a larger war chest to destroy them more efficiently independently. All we'd need to do is offer Tanzania a bit of southern Kenya for support. If only Allah made me a general of Somalia i'd create an empire in the region, defacto the Somali kingdom of the horn of Africa. Only worry would be the west. Even then offer china exclusive trade rights letting them defend us from the west temporarily while we expand. Also if Djibouti act up during our excursion id say carpet bomb them to s***. They are an international police station with Spanish troops American French Italian and Japanese etc. Id say give the ethnic Somalis a week to abandon the region then obliterate it to dust

later when we are successful rebuild new Djibouti from the ground up. After all of this with a veteran army we could choose to liberate the Yemenis or just chill out and strengthen our economy. If Saudi or the UAE chat s*** align with Russia china and Iran and carpet bomb the f*** out of Saudi oil fields and Riyadh hurting their pockets and wipe the emirates that funded terrorism in our country for so long off the face of the earth. We know how much the Saudis love their oil when they were negotiating a cease fire with the Houthi's. Their population is soft from the luxury they live in while ours have been battle hardened over decades. I say wipe out the Saudi royal family Islam has no room for monarchies especially once who betrayed the ottomans the original care takers of mecca and medina.

All we need is one strategic military leader and we would conquer our region. Achieve what our ancestors couldn't . A united Somali front of people willing to die for their legacy and the life their descendants might get to live. My grandfather fought in the 77 war as an artillery commander up to his death much after the war from old age. he'd always tell me about his war stories and his dream of a greater Somalia. May Allah rest his soul for he was a great man who never turned his back on his people. even mutinied from the federal Somali armed forces when barre started moving mad and bombing his own people. He always said nothing will stain your hands more then the blood of you kinsmen. He instilled a love from all somalis in my heart regardless of clan. Inshallah i will meet him again in Jannah amen.

pareto distribution aside there are some social patterns which are really weird and almost inexplainable

one really good example is standardized interval decline in consumer goods. these are things like at certain intervals (usually week or day) the collective sales of a new product usually decline at each interval by roughly 50%~ (+/- a margin of error) until they hit a baseline. For example box office sales are almost always:
X 1st week -> X/2 2nd week -> ...
The same is the case with other media like games, etc. and this trend existed far before algorithms did.

Lmao no, he managed to get himself elected liason by his batallion but he explicitly kept them from fighting for any of the socialist factions struggling for power during the BSR before informing on his colleagues who did once the BSR was put down. He was already staunchly anti-communist in this era and like many other bavarian conservatives he expected the SPD administration (which he also hated) would quickly put down the BSR so he just kept a low profile and waited. As a militarist and a nobody at the time all he cared about was holding on to his army post.

The theory that he was a spy at the time also makes sense imo. He officially became a spy months later but his actions at the time: intervening to stop his batallion from lending support to any of the factions and gathering intel on those who tried to do otherwise does sounds like spy/informant behavior. I wouldn't be surprised if he received orders from his superiors at any point after the initial overthrow of the bavarian monarchy to act as an informant.
