its kinda funny because Schmitt was part of the nazi party but was only influential in their rise to power, once they were in power they basically hated him and he was declared an enemy of the state by the SS and investigated multiple times. Despite this he remained pretty sternly accepting of nazism and the entire experience was the main catalyst of him formulating the theory of the partisan. also he became a franco stan immediatedly once ww2 ended
