Would yall support a system that has limits on private enterprise and guarantees every citizen a certain quality of life (think social democracy but slightly stronger) as
opposed to a free for all capitalist state with little to no safety nets, not unlike what u find in the US

Personally I’m more inclined to the former but there is a certain appreciation i have for the “innovation”

For better or worse there isn’t a country as advanced as the US. No place like NYC or chicago or LA or even second tier cities like ATL or Seattle

It’s incredibly developed, goods are cheap. With moderate hardwork and a college degree you can live more luxurious than all of human history and even comparable societies in EU where for example there isn’t even half of the innovative and diverse culture, you walk in a french suburb and it looks like you’re in russia..just s*** like that

But also you have the incredible inequality and down right cruelty you find uniquely in the states as far as first world countries go

Anyone who says social democracy isnt attainable in every country is lying to you

US doesn't have free-for-all capitalism without safety nets. Every time the system fails the government intervenes. They just intervene on the behalf of business interests, not the public. It's not just market forces.

The "social democracy" you're describing is just the new deal democrat form of capitalism mainly defined by big social programs and a strong presence of organized labor. The system that actually led to what we have now.

More expensive? You mean like inflation and relative wages? Well that's specific to their economy. The US never had the nordic model. Sweden specifically has been subject to some neoliberal reforms over the years, their housing specifically. David Harvey refers to as a "circumscribed neoliberalism". New Deal Democracy was the closest the US came to any of that.
