If it's deciding between low stress 200k vs high stress 300k I'd probably just take the low stress.

Depends wym by high stress tho. Is it just way more hours? If It is then I'll pass. If high stress just means more engaging work where you can't slack off then that's not a bad thing.

I make 300k+ in a healthcare job that's low stress 90% of the time but the 10% where s*** hits the fan is when it's most fun.

high stress as in it's sales. Lots of travel, pressure to hit quota, pretty much act as a ceo (pseudo manage other sales reps)

Yea, software sales for me as well. What did you sell and what's your business now? How old are you btw?

I'm 28. Mainly microsoft cloud migrations Azure. Big companies would move from on prem to cloud or switch from AWS to Microsoft.

The margins on those are huge. My bussiness is in the home services space. We are trying to automate how people find workers for different home related services. Like cleaning, lawn, repairs, plumbing etc etc.

On the contractor end we have 100 plus workers in different home related niches and on the customer end they have super easy purchasing experience on site. Once u pay the set hourly minimum.price for whatever u need we assign a team and they show up to do.the work.

Most times even same day. Idea waa to make the customer experience super easy and seamless. As simple as ordering a pizza.

So you were in professional services? You worked for the big consultants or local shop? Yea, I work for a tech company kinda in the same realm as AWS/Microsoft for business tech. So was responsible for like 20k SKUs. And then I was trying to run a investor funded crypto startup at the same time so got burnt tf out.

Your business sounds like thumbtack/taskrabbjt. You working b2b or common customer. Idk how to dm, would dm you

Would probably be more beneficial to load up two decent paying jobs with minimum work/time commitments

    s/o the Overemployed bros

Couple of my friends are holding down multiple tech jobs at the same time

Professional services yea. Margin on services is huge. I worked at a VAR, cdw then liked MS sonrhey hired me to the cdw team. Thrn I got hired at Microsoft. Once my bussiness replaced my salary I switched to a manager role which is.easoer less quota driven.
I'm a sales manager as a cyber security company now. Cruising and trying to make sure the bussiness survives the f***ing recession.

I'm so f***ing done bro. 2 years of covid and then recession. I haven't seen a normal economy since I'm started it lol

And Exactly. Its very similar to task rabbit or thumb tack. In trying to get it to million dollars a year sales and maybe get funding idk. It's doable. We have had 40k months.

Yo, dm your LinkedIn b. Let’s connect. Ahhh so you’re doing both at one time. My startup is shifting to lending business so I think I wanna hit AE again at end of the year and build the initial framework of the biz rn so we can get some rev to hire. Then we can double dip.

From what I hear they all just commit to not updating their LinkedIn and say "I'm only active when I'm Job searching."

    Some hibernate their page

High stress. I will get used to it and find a rhythm like I always do. I love pushing my limits, it feels more rewarding than playing it safe. I could never live with myself knowing I'm missing out on that much money because I don't want a challenge.

Yea word of advice. Automate eveey process in the company and hire as soon as you can financially. Iade the mistake of not hiring like a moron and screwing up my growth.

For Us the phone line is very important. Every call is a sale from Google. For like a year I was doing all that shot myself. Like picking up every call. So much s*** fell through the cracks. So hire out tasks as soon as you can and focus on growth not admin s***.

I did the high stress last year but I had a very bad manager. I wanna go back at it again because folks make 500k to a mill on a yearly plus I specifically came to the company for that job. It's pride and ego but it gets me upset seeing colleagues I started with making more bread than me hitting like 400k in the year when they were the ones looking to me for help in being good at the role.

Let me work it for you and I’ll get back to you if it’s worth it

  • With that amount of free time at work solid job and side gig

That’s the plan from my end. Especially with the use of generative ai, trying to automate at scale. Trying to see how we can eventually get to recurring predictable rev. I’m tryna get my brother into Thiel fellowship through this (he’s interviewed twice already getting to the final stage smh), we’d get in if this works
