yeSAC the interesting thing about your post is I have seen people say almost the opposite as far as ye being cohesive vs JIK being cohesive. So I guess it depends on your point of view.
I think even a critic review said sort of what you said, and a different critic review said the opposite of what you said i.e that JIK is really cohesive and ye wasn't.
I happen to find them both very well put together all throughout. and Glad you're loving it! it's good to be back on KTT I lost my old KTT account password/or something and that was before 2014/2015 or so, something like that it's been a while anyways.
I think the actual bulk of the music all comes together very well cohesively on JIK, but its just the little things and different layers that someone like Mike Dean can add to the album that he didnt on this one that tie it all together a little better
Glad youre back!
You make a good point and I too wonder what happen to In the Valley.
What you think is the reason we never got that?
Cus on one hand okay maybe he put it on the tracklist as an idea?
But did he not expand on that idea? Did it not work out the way he wanted?
It just seems weird to me that he would hear someone else’s song and just say “ok a Kanye version of this song gonna be on my album” without even attempting to turn it into a track
Momo's described it as her original track, and I think it would've been a great look for her to be on the album which is why she probably wanted it to be on there
I definitely think if he really wanted to use the track he would've done a lot more with it but probably had other ideas he was more concerned with

Word...idk still weird how he just put it on the tracklist and promoted it as if “this is the album”
At least wit TLOP the original tracklist was of songs that had already been made just tweaks needed to be done. And if I recall all the original tracks remained he just added more
Oh god has been played at other listening parties. Whatever one Swizz was at he played it there. Think NY?
On God was played in Detroit for sure.
And yeah, I think that at the very least Follow God sounds just as complete as the two tracks OP mentions. As does Jesus is Lord, in the IMAX film. Still baffled by the decision to truncate it here.
I cant fathom what Rick Rubin did or said to ye in Wyoming. The album is fun don't get me wrong but how did he not say we need to work on this stuff more and lock in with these concepts...
We can go on and on about the quality of the album but it’s like running in circles. Whether you like it or not truly doesn’t matter... it’s the journey of Kanye West that matters. Appreciate his entire being and human vessel... a true prophet of God

Yeah I'm very curious about the original notepad tracklist.

Jesus is lord is “baptized” from the OG tracklist from August 29th though. which yet again backs up the argument that the “album” on the 29th was so beautiful. Much more singing, but so much more cohesive. Such a bummer. Because everything from that og tracklist that we’ve heard didn’t miss.

Was it listed in the credits as Baptized when it played in Detroit? I thought I remembered hearing that. Now it's listed in the credits as "Every Knee Shall Bow."
That one f***ing pastor rewrote the whole lyrics now it sounds corny and unnatural as f***
