Thanks. Im part of the diehard Sonic fandom; and among the weirdos that have been following every bit of news from about this game before it was even announced lol.
Yeah same, finding out about what this game was gonna be like from those 4chan leaks was pretty wild hours after that first teaser dropped. Everything that has been revealed or said about this game after that dreadful gameplay reveal has shown me this game might be pretty solid after all.
Some good quality renders for the villain and Sonic

Cant wait for all the naysayers to find out this s*** ends up being the best sonic yet
F*** sake
I'm honestly shocked there there isn't more; knowing this community. Gotta give the Sonic community a pat on the back that it's only at 2

My honest prediction is that it'll have a similar reception Pokemon Legends Arceus.
Heavily flawed, but a lot of ppl will consider it the most fun they had with a Sonic game in year.
Not expecting they'll drop a 10/10 Open World game first try. All I ask is that they start moving the franchise in the right direction
sega has been on a weird promo run for this game tbh. i think it might surprise some people (i hope)

There should be alot of naysayers because of how SEGA has treated Sonic over the years and now recently with Sonic Origins. SEGA purposely released Origins knowing it was buggy just because of an anniversary date.
This video talks about how things went down with Origins.
SEGA at the moment is not trustworthy and isn’t deserving of good faith when it comes to Sonic. For Frontiers I’m gonna wait for the reviews before buying. If Colors and Origins were buggy, there’s a chance Frontiers (a AAA game) might be as well.

I want to say Sega tend to do this more when outside developers are working on Sonic, and not so much inhouse games. With all their faults, the last 2 in-house mainline games were Lost World and Forces, and both ran fairly good; with not many, if any, glitches and performances issues
But yeah, when u look into how they treated the Origins developers its pretty awful. Which sucks, because this completely kills any chances of a Sonic Mania 2 ever happening now.
The saddest story is Sonic Boom. Game was made by former Naughty Dog employees who made their own studio. The game they were TRYING to make had potential to be the best Sonic game ever. SEGA sabotaged the game in the worst story of game sabatoge i ever heard. Completely destroyed the Boom team’s rep. Which is sad because theyre all actually capable of making classics.
My worry with Frontiers is that it sounds like SEGA is crunching Sonic Team to the extreme to get this out by the holidays. In the past theyve had employees nearly die because of how bad they worked them to meat Sonic deadlines. They need to delay just to give these ppl better working comditions

That last paragraph is insane
Why are they so caught up in deadlines? Smh
People just want a good game at the end of the day, there’s no need to put unnecessary pressure to meet a deadline come on SEGA. Just another head scratcher to add to their infamous history.

Yep. Iizuka(the current president of Sonic Team) was practically worked to death on Sonic Heroes.
The other level designer was hospitalized during production because of overwork, and Iizuka pretty much solo’d the level design of that game by himself. But ended up losing like 30 pounds from pulling so many alnighters with no breaks.
I willing to bet Frontiers will be pretty bug free, because Sega really works Sonic Team on the mainline games lol. Theres this myth that Sonic games are always buggy, but honestly 06 was like the only buggy mainline game. The other buggy games were outsourced and Sega gave no f***s about giving the, reasonable deadlines lol

For sure, being an in house game with Sonic Team is my only glimmer of hope. Still gonna wait until reviews come out. I have some doubts about the game but the last trailer helped a lot.

Forces had a lot of glitches/inconsistencies when it came to gameplay. Was very buggy.
Lost World was not though. Game ran like a charm and, even if people don't like it, it's a solid experience.

Eeeeh i only remember one egregious bug in Mystic Jungle; but dont recall coming across any major glitches in my few playthroughs.
I'm sure there were more than that; but at the time of release don't recall there being a big talk on bugs and glitches; or at the very least no way it was nearly at the degree as Colors Ultimate
New trailer and possible release date

Why is it so hard to make a decent sonic game? Go with what has worked the best. See what made mania special and make a good 2D sonic while working slowly on a good 3D one. See what aspects of Adventure 1 and 2 + generations that clicked most with people and build off of that. Sonic goes through so much hell for no reason
