Great movie. The music, animation, voice acting, it was all great
I was expecting him to become a lifelong mentor, not go back to Earth. Did he quit music?
This movie was incredible. Felt like a throwback to Pixar’s prime. It had so much heart and...soul. Jamie Foxx was the perfect voice for the protagonist. Just a beautiful, inspiring movie. The fact this won’t get a theater run like the other Pixar movies is a travesty. Also wanna give a shoutout to Trent Razors score. Which was absolutely incredible as well.
We needed this movie so bad in a year that’s been crippling to our morale.
Pete Doctor absolutely was the rightful successor to John Lasseter. He earned that position with Monsters Inc, Up, Inside Out and this hell of a movie.
I think Disney was taking shots at our gen with this movie tbh
In the best way possible, I just see so many people around me who could really use this movie

I wouldn’t say “taking shots”. It felt like a warm hug for someone who really really needed it. It was almost therapeutic in a sense.

very true
Those big depression/anxiety monsters would’ve scared the s*** out of me as a kid.
I’d love to see the concept art for all of this movie. It feels like every sequence and scene was sooo thought out and perfected. From inception of the idea to the final product
No hyperbole this is one of the best movies I've seen in my life absolutely f***ing shook right now this christmas

This movie is the clear difference between Dreamworks and Pixar. Pixar doesn’t always hit the mark. And Dreamworks occasionally will release an amazing movie (Shrek 2, HTTYD1, Kung Fu Panda trilogy) but man when Pixar hits the mark, there’s no one else like it. One of a kind greatness.

I only compared because Dreamworks is the only animation company that’s even been in the question. Pixar blows everyone else completely out of the water.

ghibli technically too, but they are very different from american studios
Illumination studios breh
I might've listened if you'd said Sony Animation. Just because they made Surfs Up and Into The Spiderverse.
But i'mma feeling a big NO for Illumination. Illumination is a poor mans Dreamworks whos only good/decent film is the first Despicable Me.
