anybody expecting a black Pixar film or a Pixar film about Jazz will be heated.

Trailer literally showed what it was about tho tbh. Like the scene where he left and everything
Just happy it’s not like prior where we’d lose the black person and the rest of the cast would be white lol. Scenes like the barbershop and jazz alone were improvements

and black people were mad then. what we get is even worse than what the trailer shows.
I don't hate the movie btw actually enjoyed it for what it was. It's a standard Pixar movie for me.
seems sick but i can't help but feel like it's a pander

People were complaining they turned Will Smith into a bird in Spies in Disguise. Hell...even casuals who don't even think about racial aspects were complaining, lol.
This isn’t an issue that plagued the film thank god cus black people were obviously in the room for the making of this film but it is a weird trend with Disney unfortunately. Princess and the Frog is prob the most flagrant example
This film in all was a massive step in the right direction tho even in the animation of black people
Didn’t really realize this trend til I was talking with my gf (she hasn’t seen this movie and doesn’t know the synopsis) and she mentioned she hoped they didn’t do this lol.
Twitter always gonna complain tho . It’s not a site that generates positivity and it only really represents a small amount of opinions
People complaining on twitter are literally vocal minorities 90 percent of tweets are made by like 5 percent of users
Inside Out, Finding Nemo, and Toy Story is fair. But you wylin for thinking Onward better
Onward might be top 1 Pixar I cried from the first minute to the walk out to the car
damn this one of the best pixar movies
up with the top 5 of em
The one issue I kinda had with is I wanted to know who soul-22 ended up being and what Jazzbroski purpose was.
that's not the point
the point is to subtly say that you can have no purpose and still live enjoying life
otherwise what woulda came out with it? everyone is something and someone watching film end up hopeless
live in the moment
this the wholesome Get Out sequel
People are f***ing unbelievable bro. It’s a HUMAN f***ing story. That is the most beautiful thing about this s***. That it’s a HUMAN story that anyone regardless of sex, color, or creed can relate to Told through the conduit of a black man. The importance of that can not be understated. You have to come to grips with your own existentialism by living through the imagined mid-life crisis of a black man and niggas is mad because they didn’t show the idiosyncrasies Of their f***ing aunt or some s*** man get the f*** outta here with this fake outrage s***.
My only real “complaint” was that Joe falls down a manhole and suffers enough injuries to KILL him (everyone in the spirit world is like bro you gotta DIE now) and then he pops back in his body with literally ZERO injuries
Man just about croaked from fall damage and didn’t even have a broken leg lmao
But that’s just stupid little nitpick stuff, loved the film overall. One of Pixar’s best
The one issue I kinda had with is I wanted to know who soul-22 ended up being and what Jazzbroski purpose was.
They already said that no one has a designated purpose, life itself is the purpose basically
But I definitely would’ve liked to see who soul 22 ended up being
a white woman voicing a black man for most of the movie. 2020 in a nutshell. most racist movie ive seen in a min. if you watch this and like it. you know what you are
