    〈Arrest Yoon Suk-yeol! Total Cabinet Resignation!〉
People's Democratic Party Rally Following Yoon Suk-yeol's Impeachment
    April 5, 2025

On the 4th, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) held a political rally in front of the government complex after the unanimous Constitutional Court ruling to impeach Yoon Suk-yeol, chanting "Arrest Yoon Suk-yeol! Total Cabinet Resignation!"

The Chairman of the PDP's Anti-War & Anti-U.S. Special Committee stated:
"For four months until Yoon Suk-yeol's impeachment, he threw the nation into chaos and outrage—yet the Constitutional Court's decision took less than 30 minutes."
He added, "The Constitutional Court ruled correctly, but before that, it was the people who took to the streets as the true masters of society and stood firm."

    He further emphasized:
"The one leading the destruction of the rule of law and democracy was none other than the so-called 'President.' Stepping down from office is not enough. Yoon Suk-yeol can no longer evade investigations under the pretext of presidential immunity. He must be arrested immediately and held accountable for his crimes."

    He continued:
"All accomplices in this rebellion must step down. The traitors are still alive. The entire cabinet must resign, and a new neutral, national unity government must be formed to swiftly stabilize the political chaos and restore people's livelihoods."
"Yoon Suk-yeol's impeachment is our people's victory—and the beginning of building a new democratic society," he declared forcefully.

    The former PDP leader stated:
"Yoon Suk-yeol has been impeached. Today is a new day of victory. While we celebrate his removal, we must continue our struggle."
"Now, as an ordinary citizen, the criminal Yoon Suk-yeol must be arrested. There remains the task of thorough investigation and punishment."

    He further proclaimed:
"Korean democracy was saved by its sovereign people. We, the people, revived dying democracy and the rule of law on these streets of resistance. Since December, we impeached Yoon Suk-yeol without a single defeat. Here, on these streets, we will accelerate the realization of a true people's democracy—where the people are the rightful masters."

Spokesperson’s Statement (Commentary) 611 Impeach the Judicial Coup Forces Immediately!
    May 6, 2025

    1. An unprecedented judicial coup has occurred. On the 1st, the Supreme Court under Chief Justice Jo Hee-dae overturned the acquittal of presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung in the Public Official Election Act violation case and remanded it for a guilty verdict—just 34 days after receiving the case and a mere 9 days after convening a full bench (en banc) review. This ruling is severely flawed in both substance and procedure. The Supreme Court maliciously rubber-stamped the first-instance guilty verdict, completely disregarding the second-instance acquittal and uncritically accepting the prosecution’s twisted interpretation of Lee’s statements. It is also illegal for the third-instance court (a legal review body) to make factual determinations. Procedurally, the "6-3-3 principle" (a rule meant for elected officials) was applied for the first time to Lee Jae-myung, a defeated candidate. Normally, a four-judge panel discusses the case before referring it to the full bench if no consensus is reached—but here, Jo Hee-dae bypassed standard procedure, rushing the ruling without proper deliberation. The Court even violated its own internal rules, which require judicial researchers to submit pre-hearing reports for en banc cases. Most outrageously, the justices issued a reckless, malicious verdict without reviewing 60,000–70,000 pages of case documents. Public fury has exploded, with a surge in requests for disclosure of the Supreme Court’s records.

    2. This ruling is a judicial coup because a handful of judges are brazenly trampling on sovereign voters’ rights and disrupting the presidential election. The very judges sworn to uphold the rule of law are leading its destruction—so much so that legal a***ysts warn the higher courts may now violate defendants’ rights under the Criminal Procedure Act. Normally, appeals require 7 days for filing and 20 days for submitting arguments (minimum 27 days total), but the Court ignored this, claiming it could rule in just 7 days by skipping due process. While this violates defendants’ rights, the Supreme Court itself decides whether such violations affect the verdict—and no legal mechanism exists to overturn it. Under ordinary circumstances, this would be unthinkable, but today’s reality is one where:

    • The Supreme Court remands a case in 9 days (a first in judicial history).
    • Figures like Yoon Suk-yeol (a coup leader) openly manipulate the judiciary.
    • The Court’s rush to strip Lee Jae-myung (the overwhelming frontrunner) of his electoral rights exposes a sinister plot to install Han Duck-soo (Yoon’s acting coup-puppet) as president.
Of the 12 justices, 10 were appointed by the coup leader Yoon Suk-yeol; only the two dissenters opposed this verdict. The coup continues.

    3. All 10 justices, including Jo Hee-dae, must resign or be impeached. The dissenting opinion states this ruling:

    • "Arbitrarily cherry-picks expressions to suppress opposition" under the prosecution’s biased charges.
    • "Ignores constitutional protections for political speech and election campaigning."
Thus, the 10 justices who ordered the remand committed unconstitutional acts and must be impeached immediately.
Moreover, the coup cabinet must be ousted without delay. With the coup regime still sabotaging governance, Han Duck-soo dares to run for president, the economy and livelihoods keep collapsing, and the coup forces—facing doom—see judicial coups and civil war as their only escape. If the Democratic Party continues its opportunistic approach, the worst-case scenario looms: not just losing the election, but being denied one altogether.
The people, victors of the December Uprising, will rise en masse against fascism and foreign influence, punish the coup forces, crush their civil war plots, and accelerate true democracy.

"Ending Civil War is the Supreme Mandate of Our People"
    June 4, 2025

    1. In the 21st presidential election, Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party candidate, was elected with 49.42% of the vote. The People Power Party candidate, Kim Moon-soo, received 41.15%, the Reform New Party candidate, Lee Jun-seok, received 8.34%, and the Democratic Labor Party candidate, Kwon Young-kook, received 0.98%. President-elect Lee Jae-myung stated around 1:12 AM on the 4th that his top two missions as president would be "ending civil war" and "reviving the economy and restoring people’s livelihoods." The final voter turnout was 79.4%, the highest in 28 years, 2.3 percentage points higher than the 20th presidential election. This demonstrates our people’s strong desire to eliminate civil war instigators, end civil war, and restore democracy. The great people of Korea, who fought through freezing winter nights to stop the December 3rd Emergency Martial Law and overcame the "dark era of fascism" with a "revolution of light," have once again achieved victory by making it clear that this election was a "judgment on civil war" and ensuring the rise of anti-civil war forces to power.

    2. The first step in ending civil war is punishing the civil war instigators. Fugitive ringleader Yoon Suk-yeol must be rearrested, and the currently closed trials of other key figures like Roh Sang-won and Kim Yong-hyun must be made fully public. Most importantly, another key ringleader, Kim Keon-hee, along with the planners and accomplices of the civil war, must be exposed through a special investigation and punished according to the law. In particular, the remnants of the civil war, the unconstitutional People Power Party, which collaborated in declaring the December 3rd Emergency Martial Law, blocked Yoon Suk-yeol’s impeachment, and put forward Kim Moon-soo as a presidential candidate, must be completely disbanded. They are a faction of civil war instigators, fascists, and corrupt elites. The rejected special investigations under the Yoon Suk-yeol regime were never unrelated to the civil war. In addition to the Kim Keon-hee Special Investigation, Myeong Tae-gyun Special Investigation, and Chae Sang-byeong Special Investigation, the recently uncovered "Geonjin Buddhist Monk Scandal" must also be thoroughly investigated. If the opportunistic mistakes of the past—failing to fully impeach the civil war cabinet and allowing Han Deok-soo and Choi Sang-mok, the main culprits of the civil war, to act as "proxy rulers"—are repeated, public anger will turn against the Lee Jae-myung administration and the Democratic Party.

    3. The threat of civil war and a "Korean" war crisis remains severe. The civil war instigators, fascists, and reactionaries, who plotted civil war through clashes, riots, terrorism, and schemes up until the election, are now cornered and desperate. They may orchestrate shocking incidents like anti-government riots or staged terrorist attacks, or even double down on last year’s reckless provocations against North Korea, desperately trying to ignite a full-scale war. The imperialist warmongers, who triggered and escalated World War III through the 2022 Ukraine War and the 2023 Palestine War (Middle East conflict), will now push for war in Taiwan to expand World War III into East Asia. The fact that the civil war instigators’ schemes and the imperialists’ East Asia war plans are moving in lockstep confirms the extreme danger of the current situation. The first step in resolving the civil war crisis and overcoming the war threat is punishing the civil war instigators. If this fails, chaos could escalate into full-blown war, and we must remain highly vigilant. The awakened and united people of Korea will confront all challenges and adversities through anti-fascist, anti-imperialist struggle, and will surely realize a new people-centered world—a world of people’s democracy.
