that's the biggest thing holding this album back, in my opinion. a bit too theatrical, and there are a few instrumental passages that drag on a bit too long.

Super important especially the folks who liked this one to check out Mazy Fly tho. Still technically her most critically acclaimed one I think. Realistically coulda had the same attention as TTW if only it had a moment like Fantano just gave this

The Turning Wheel is very new ground for her and Mazy Fly adds a bit of context to what her core sound is

That’s like her thing tho lol she got her masters in performance and storytelling and has a theater background. Like the point with a lot of these songs was to make a portfolio for showcasing her capabilities for scoring potential theater productions or films in the future

She worldbuilds around these type of vibes and her whole artistic persona is witchcraft-like. Her last music vid for Revolution is literally set as a theater performance lol

It won’t hit for everyone tho and I totally get your comment just adding that that’s who she is

Ok I basically finished my first listen, gorgeous album, actual ear candy I do say the second half is more enjoyable when he she brings more electronic elements into her music it’s some best musical moments of the year

Magic act & Legacy top are my top 2 favs off the album

yeah, i totally get that it was intentional, and i understand why other people might dig that stuff, but it's just not for me. it made for an impressive first listen, but it's the type of stuff i probably won't revisit very often. there are still INCREDIBLE songs on this project, though: little deer, always, the turning wheel, the future, boys at school... lots of great stuff. always a chance that it grows on me as well!
