Making him hobgoblin here would be dumb especially when doom going to have Tonyβs face
Just have him work at the bugle he uncovers hobgoblins identity and the real hobgoblin frames ned and has him assasinated

I think they have done that "oooo the person you trust or is your friend is actually the villain"
enough times man
William Metzger
Mysterio
Iron Man to Doom soon
Goblin
even the fake out of thinking its Ned. Its a bit of doing the same trick too many times. Sometimes when you shove so many comic book stories into the movies it gets a bit too fan service. When Ned doing the spidey tracker directly helps Spider mans villains already. Its part of why Jean says he isnt hard to find. She can easily use the spidey tracker to get an idea of where he lives, frequents and his secret identity so can others.
Hobgoblin Osborne . If there is no job or oscorp next movie its insane. Those should be their first focuses and Peter having his own friends. Even if there is the theory MJ remembers again

I feel like Brand New Day should have been Spiderman 5.
Because the last time we saw him he is with Ned and MJ and the end of this film he's back with them. Ofc there is 5 years between the films but as an audience member there is barely any time.
The sense of loneliness is only prevalent for like an hour and then after that it's back to normal.
Spiderman 4 should have been a true Solo Spiderman film where he has a crazy main villian and then we do BND where he chooses ot rekindle etc

I mean the 4 year speed through doesn't really do what they need it to do. They would have benefitted from less Jean. Less Hulk and actually show him for those 4 years having a job, attempting to make friends failing or not . Then more naturally life leading him to Ned and MJ again rather than stalking them. Also as I mentioned grieving while also honoring Aunt May through her foundation. Next movie they have to let certain elements breathe will they ? doubtfully
MJ seems to know who he is again after the freeze in time. Then we got the plot of Secret wars where its likely symbiote suit evil. So its all an odd order to not see osbornes, oscorp, a job but symbiote suit and back with Ned and MJ which felt like speed running fan service for many of these story decisions.

I think people are really mis-reading the ending shots.
MJ doesn't know who he is from memory
Ned doesn't either
It's not like they've snapped back to the 2024 versions of themselves.
The film kinda spells it out - Ned and MJ very much have memories of Spider-man (saving them etc) but they only have memories of Spiderman so if Peter is involved it doesn't count. So they remember elements of Homecoming - Far From Home - No Way Home when Spiderman (not peter) was present - so scenes where MJ is with Peter she doesn't remember, same with Ned.
Then when she learns he's Peter and she states "I don't know you, I don't love you" - She then says goodluck to Peter infront of Ned and then Ned says "Oh Spidermans called Peter" and then in the final scene when he does the handshake Ned's muscle memory kicks in and when Peter reintroduces himself as Peter Ned puts it together real quick - Not like all his memories have returned but he finally has a face to put to the character he's spent years idolising and working with/around. He already feels like a friend to him because of the memories and the apartment scene with them all in
MJ knows someone gave her that necklace that she can't remember and she now knows Peter wiped her mind. She obviously cares for him as a version of her did too but she isn't overtly in love with him, but she can be there for him knowing what he went through with her.

You are recounting the movie I also saw. I dont think they got all their memories back . I am saying with Sony and Marvel they may do where Jean gave some of their memories back. She saw how much pain he was in with MJ having no memories so they are now open to that cop out if they so choose. As for Ned I dont know if they are going to say since he is part magic he gained some memories back. I understand the movie. I hope they dont rush to bring the memories back but in a way they set up an out either way. I dont think her clutching the necklace and tear coming out her eye confirms anything. Just fan theories.

That Tombstone solo film should have happened
That Tombstone solo film should have happened
Tombstone and Spider Man core villains were so wasted here. The character of New York as a city itself with civilians was a little bit better used . But Scorpion didn't really say anything of value then every pedestrian basically obsessed with or so pro spider man. There is no real conflict there. He works with the police even accidentally nearly killing one. He lowers the crime rate so he is worshipped. We dont see the suit rip or take damage. He is kind of worshipped all movie then it culminates in everyone outside for him. No real questions of "who shot spider man" " who froze time what just happened". Missing out on a great deal of world building for me. Still again a solid spider man entry but the Hulk plotline , Jean plot line just a bit redundant. Then Spider Man telling Punisher all movie to chill on shooting people only to shoot spider man is like 'okay'. We knew he wasnt going to die or nothing would change from being shot. We knew Jean wasnt going to get shot. It just lacked a level of consequence by a bit. Normally movies build threads in the universe for future movies a bit more but this one really just kind of neat in that regard.
Unless one is heavily invested in him knowing MJ and Ned again. When really I want him to attempt to make new friends and have the full human experience. Including a job. Actually live the double life
The Hand sequence was a treat, I'll be revisting the movie for that alone
Im both

Yeah, my hand was getting some work in whatdoyaknow.
Yeah, honestly the more I sit on it the more I feel itβs the best in the franchise. Itβs a little messy with some off pacing, but that could be a consequence of how many times the script was being worked on and rewritten over the years.
Now that they have a new, clear vision for the franchise, I could see the next one being a lot more refined.

Pacing felt a lot better to me on rewatch. Its a lot to take in on first watch
i thought he was gonna mutate fr in this movie lol

sony is doing this because of a contract they could care less about it making sense 3bh
Hulk fans gotta be heated after watching this
why? Cus he got nerfed again? he was only getting active for a few minutes
whoever is making these does not gaf about some stuff and im not even the biggest fan but .. lol
i wish the camera moved with him more
hearing a lot about some of the content in the movie but "spoiled" but i think a lot of that is just an artifact of the industry around the info in these movies and production? people click this stuff and surround themselves with it but it can kinda easily be avoided..
Solid entry. Not the best spiderman movie though. Shot better than most of the mcu movies. But the story was lacking to me. Its a good movie and I do like that its not as childish that felt more spiderman to me. They just gotta refine it and try again. They get two more movies to get it perfect.

i think its so crazy cus we got really solid raimi movies off rip and these still are kinda ehhh? even if really fun!!! just as movies not that compelling. but maybe that just makes the earlier ones that much more special
