What I love is that this very much felt like a Spider-Man movie that happens to be in the MCU vs the Home trilogy was “holy s*** Spider-Man is in the MCU”
Like having Peter reach out to Yelena and Bruce for help works so well. He’s a hero in a world of heroes, like no s*** he would look to others for assistance.
I also felt Frank worked so well, and I was slightly worried how he would translate to PG-13 but it worked
I agree on this even though as mentioned Yelena I would love if that was black cat solely to build more characters in Peter’s universe and not have him still be in love with mj who doesn’t remember him . This in many ways reminded me of a chain of cartoon episodes together .
Peter indirectly coming up with the tech that will be used to enslave mutants was not on my bingo card
The nod of magnetic fields stopping it from working was nice too . Magneto will free people

Eh, I feel like Felicia should be a major part of a film rather than someone feeding him info
Like with him and MJ not getting back together, I guess he’s something like in Spider-Man five. He’s influenced by the symbiote while simultaneously meeting black cat who helps him go down a darker path of heroics. So instead we could see the bad influence Felicia can be, but then maybe by the end of the movie we see that she does have good in her. Q
I missed the first few minutes. What happened before the tank chase scene?
spider man being depressed and a montage of him catching/ fighting a bunch of villains/ ordering little caesars no contact delivery ad
Jean actually being the villain who openly put many human beings in danger to find a sister that dies off screen was
. Feels like her sister dying off screen was an odd choice to me. The reveal of what V MAX meant after all that felt odd. MJ not caring at all that he kissed her while she was mind controlled and that being the moment he realizes William was lying when he should have remembered that he wanted to talk to Jean when she woke up either way .
I really need the Peter blindly trust men s*** to end man . I thought they were done with that gag then this movie he believes William Metzger whole heartedly. He somewhat ask what Jeans after but Jean is kind of too stubborn to tell him that she is doing this for a good reason and instead decides to threaten his loved ones because it serves the plot.
All of which feels like a Jean closer to the phoenix saga then she should be for the beginning of x men but it is what it is
Someone explain the Staten Island talk between Spider Man and Punisher? Never seen the show so I don’t if it’s a callback to something I haven’t watched
its just a running joke. Spider man doesnt appear on the Punisher show yet but its an hint that they can crossover hopefully with Kingpin soon
Also they may really have been a Rogue tease on the bus. As we see Jean Grey go likely to Charles in what looks like New York upstate
Spider-Man a blue lives matter guy huh
yeah was a bit too much working with the police similiar to The Batman. To the point he might as well have been a police officer
. He was on the phone with her and everything. I get it that they want to like The Batman not really delve into humanity conflict with police or the government or politics but its a little eye rolling. Especially with her directly saying "if you nearly kill a cop again I wont be able to protect you " lol.

Punisher shooting him still feels kind of stupid to me I dont know why. Cause even if he actually shot Jean Grey the effects of that would likely doom many lives . Also shows he didnt listen to Peter at all.
WE JUST WATCHED A F***ING
SPIDER-MAN AND X-MEN CROSSOVER MOVIE
THINK ABOUT HOW AMAZING THAT IS FOR ONE F***ING SECOND
DREAMS DO COME TRUE
xmen evolution and ultimate spiderman zoomers eating rn
Peter indirectly coming up with the tech that will be used to enslave mutants was not on my bingo card
Yesss, nice catch. I wonder if his tech comes up at all in Doomsday.
Film lost me after it explored jeans backstory
I really liked how much Spider-Man hated her (especially after the MJ possession) I almost just wished it was a different villain who could do the same
